I have tried, for many years, to find an acne treatment that worked. I have been on prescription medication, and over-the-counter topical medications as well. After seeing the info-mercials for years, I bought...at a mall. I just had to see it in person first. Well, after some experimenting with the frequency of use, I HAVE FOUND MY SOLUTION! Be sure to read the information in the package they give you. It helps alot with redness, overdrying and itching. I learned that instead of using all 5 products twice a day, that I should only use the repairing lotion once a day. In the summertime heat, my skin didn't tolerate it as well. But, my friends and family say my skin has never looked better! And my makeup actually stays on my skin longer than 2 to 3 hours now! It is SO NICE to wake up in the morning with soft, not oily skin! Be patient, and learn what your skin needs. This system is the only thing I have found to work for me! I highly recommend it to everyone! You can have great skin, too!

I have used this product about three weeks now. It's quite good actually, but I have a very sensitive skin and Proactiv is almost too heavy stuff for my skin. There's redness and my skin is very dry and it's itchy! I wouldn't get along with just Proactiv, I need other moisturizers and masks to hydrate my skin. I'm disapointed that I still suffer bad breakouts, though I have used it for a quite long time now. But Proactiv has helped me, I can't deny. Almost all the blackheads are gone from my nose. But my chin looks still bad and I have notcied that now I have some blackheads on my cheeks too which is devastating, because before Proactiv I didn't. Two days ago I suddenly got five horrible pimpels on my forhead, but Proactiv cured them quite well to this day, but their not totally gone. But the worse is my chin. The product has helped me, so that I don't have that bad pimples on my chin, but it's full of blackheads and some other odd "whiteheads", which are so gross! I went to see a skindoctor this week, but I thought she didn't help me at all. So I'm going to carry on with Proactiv. But the point in this message is that yes, Proactiv helped me. I have take pics of myself during this time and I can tell some difference.

It works. I was sceptical first because i have sensitive skin and nothing has worked for me, just irritation and lost of money. But this time... people ask me have i fell in love or what...my skin is nearly perfect now after month and a half. One of my friends is using this product now, she first had irritation and complaint about it to me. But when i saw the way she was using it the problem was solved. She used to much and rubbed these products into her face. So, be gentle to your face. Your skin is not made of army boots.

i have used this product several times - i use it and then stop, use it again and then stop. i just ordered it again - i generally have excellent results. they also have an acne medication that is the best i have ever used - period. i mean, overnight results. the only problem i have is that it can be too drying at times. i called one of the reps and they said they have a sensitive version that is not advertised, but if you ask for it, they have it.

my face is clearer on this product than with any other i have ever used. i just hate that i can't buy it in a store, i don't like that i have to order it online and it does seem to expensive. but, like i said, works better than all the other stuff i waste my money on...

I have used Proactiv for about 5 years. I have the most sensitive skin possible, and only break out on my chin. Ew! I find that proactiv is soothing to my skin, but also drying. I doubt it does much for acne, and I have just started to take Alelex. I'll report back on that! :)

We tried this for my 12-yr-old daughter and while the skin tests went well, after three days her face turned red and was 'crawling' with an itchy feeling. She has nut allergies and very sensitive skin/eczema since childhood. One must be very careful when trying this out if one is prone to skin problems in addition to the acne. We had to quit and are still hunting for acne products that don't use such strong chemicals!

I tried this product when I had bad acne freshmen year of college. I kept up with it for bout 3 weeks, and didnt notice anything so i told my mom to stop ordering it. Then bout a year later my acne got a lot worse...my email is rongcc@vcu.edu, i can show u pix to prove it... anywayz i tried pro-activ again and this time stuck with it for about a month and a half before I saw results-and they were great results. I still get acne , im not crystal clear like the ones in the commercials but compared to before it was wellll worth it. Just wish it was cheaper.

My father is a plastic surgeon; he recommened the stuff I use, which is Alpha-Hydroxy Acid. One surgery that plastic surgeons do is a "Chemical Peel", which among other things, gets rid of acne scarring. The fundamental chemical in the chemical peel is Alpha-Hydroxy Acid. The stuff I use is bascially a very very low dose (diluted) form of a chemical peel. It works pretty well and it DOES NOT overdry (although it can very easily do so if you are not careful) If you are frustrated with Proactiv and "have tried everything" as so many people say, give this a shot. It's not a very mainstream product like Clearasil or Stridex or Neutrogena, etc. so you may have not heard of it. It's not extremely expensive either.

my left cheek is all clear. Lol whats with it clearing everyones left cheek? anyways... i've only been using it for a week but I already see my face is much clearer.
I hope it goes well, but after reading all these bad testimonials, i'm expecting the worse.
