I had an allergic reaction to Proactiv. My entire face swelled up like a ballon and My eyes were swollen shut. It was the most horrible experience ever. Just be careful. You can be allergic! :(

I like PROACTIV. It has been one of the only acne meds to help. I never really had issues as a teenager, but in my 20's and in college acne b/c a problem. I do get an occassional pimple from time to time, but not like I did before Proactiv. My skin also has more of a glow to it than a ruddy appearance. Also, drink water, moisturize and check out Neutrogenas at home microdermabrasion kit... It had dramatic effects for lines and wrinkles and color...only do this once you have been on a regimen for a while and you skin is pretty clear!

I have been using poractiv for around two months now and it has cleared up my face a lot. I still get the occasional breakout and they are often bigger and it takes longer for them to go away. I found that when i first used it it did dry up my face so make sure you have a good moisturiser and make sure it says it wont clog your pores. Still i dont seem to be getting the same results as the testimonials on the infomercials. It is more expensive than the products you can buy over the counter but i did go to a dermatologist who reccommended to try this Bioscor product and it cost almost two hundred dollars and didnt nearly have the same results as procativ. But i will keep trying it in the hope that it will work and clear all of my acne.
P.S Im not sure if you can get this in the usa but its called tea tree oil and it comes from a plant in australia. It really helps to reduce the size and inflamation of acne and its also antibacterial so it helps get rid of the grems so if you find it give it a go. Also try not to stress i found that when is was doing exams i would get lots of breakouts so try to destress and rleax.

I decided to try this product and have been using it for 2 months. I've seen minimal results in my skin and I'm still getting break-outs but I still want to GIVE IT A CHANCE and DON'T LOSE HOPE, so I've ordered another package. I hope that I see improvements in the next 2 months, I'll let you all know how it goes.....
PS. We all know how depressing it can be but don't let it rule your life...... your family and friends love you for who you are on the inside!!!!!!!

I love this product my skin really did clear up. It seems to be the only product i've used that has actually worked well. The only thing i dislike about it was that the face wash does not take off all your make up (there tricky way of having you order the make up remover cleansing clothes)and also if you are a poor college student like me you know that it can be a bit pricey.

Im only eleven years old and i have terrible acne. I tried proactive about 6th months ago and it hasnt had a consistent [good] effect. The only thing it has done was made my skin very flaky! its constantly peeling and makes my face look even worse. if your thinking about purchasing pro active i think you should read other comments and decide if you should find another solution. Remember, proactive might be the most advertised but is most definetly not the only treatment.

As some other people have said acne is embarrassing, some days i feel like i dont even wanna go to school. Im even constantly looking in the mirror to see if their were slight results. Almost every morning i am disapointed. Im sure others feel the same way as i do about their acne. Since im alittle young to have acne i feel worse about it since i am almost the only one im my grade that has it bad. I even follow the

when all is said and done. :)

Try ProActiv. Acne runs in my family, and I have had it since my early teens. (I am now in my early 30's.) I tried over the counter facial products, but none of them worked. Finally I tried ProActiv. At that point I had severe acne, with huge red mounds of acne one on top of the other. It covered the lower part of my face like a clown smile: next to my mouth and down around my chin. Also my forehead.

After using ProActiv steadily, twice a day, I began seeing results after four weeks. Six months later my skin is smooth except for the occasional flare-up of a single whitehead, which quickly goes away.

I do have some brownish pigmentation left (little spots from where the old acne was). They have faded a little but are still there. I've heard conflicting advice on how to get rid of them -- laser, resurfacing, dermabrasion, etc. -- and I certainly don't want to make them worse!
