Proactiv has worked great for me. I have few to no pimples on a regular basis. However, a word of advice to all my fellow guys who must shave every day: research how and when you should shave. If you shave and cut yourself, then the toner can mean irritation for weeks, maybe even months.

I have been using Proactiv for about a year and a half. After watching the infomericals, I thought that this was gonna be my saving grace. Actually, this made the texture of my skin worse, as it was constantly dry after I washed it. About 30 minutes after washing, my face became extremely oily. Even though this product has helped my skin a lot in the past year, it is still far from amazing.

well its probably the worst thing i have ever used. it worked for the first year and i got this huge embarassing breakout, so i went to a dermatologist and said that it was too strong and eatting away at my skin making the acne worse. i switched to differen and i guess i will see how that works out

I've been using proactiv for three weeks and it's made a difference. Compared to Murad, Proactiv is a miracle. When i've completed a month, I will let you know the results. People have patience!!!!!

proactiv = poor man's dermatologists visit

tea tree oil = poor man's topical antibiotic
ahas/glycolics/scrubs/betas/ = poor man's tazorac or retinol A

but, the funniest thing is, this hack of a product has NO eqivalent to good ORAL antibiotics.

So, actually LEARN about ingredients, so you won't get ripped of by #@$% like proactive. I use Clindamyacin gel, or benzaclin gel, tazorac and minocin 100 mg/day - my skin is clear, and stays that way - thanks to a GOOD DERMATOLOGIST.

And if you're skin is oily, and the above gels are too strong, get yourself some Clinac O.C. = about $12.50/tube, Over the Counter.

sheesh....

To start off with Proactiv Solution is not for everyone. In some people the product will make a big difference in your skin. But it will NEVER make what the company calls a "miracle". In other people the product will not help consistantly and it will just make their skin worse. But the truth is, you definitly should go to dermatologists. You need to get second and even third opinions about your skin and decide with the dermatoligists what will work best for you. They might even say Proactiv is not for you and your better off with a perscription or vice versa. I have been using proactiv for almost 6 months and my skin is better but its definitly not clear. I have oily skin so proactiv solution isn't harsh on my skin. But like I said the best approach is to talk to different dermatoligists about what's right for you.

I have been using proactive for about 2 yrs now and it seems to work ok but sometimes i get bad breakouts and sometimes my face is pretty clear (never entirely) right now im expirencing the bad break out....if u use proactive correctly like using the right amounts of the toner, face wash, and lotion it helps a lot...or it least it did for me because my face was completely drying out and i went to 1 of those proactive booths in the mall and the lady there showed me how much to use and i realized that i was using too much or too little of everything when i started using the right amounts my face hasnt been peeling or overly dry ever since...but i still do get bad breakouts like now as i wrote ealier and i want to try different thimgs but im afraid if i stop using proactive my face will become even worse.
