Proactiv Solution Reviews

Proactiv is a set of products that you can buy in any supermarket or drugstore just packaged as a set so they can hook you with the program and keep billing you! The face wash is ok, the toner sucks, the lotion doesn't feel quite right, and the sulfur mask is blah. Don't bother; it's not magic! You can buy better cleansers and benzoyl peroxide in stores for the same price or cheaper!

My comments pretty much go with what has already been stated with many other people above. At first I was impressed with the glow Proactive gave my skin. So I glowed while I waited for my acne to clear up.... as I'm typing this I'm still glowing and still waitng. And I started Proactive over 6 months ago. When someone finds something that REALLY works, post it here. I'll be waiting (and glowing).

This is an excellent product! My acne was really bad and I had been on and off different prescriptions since I was 13 years old but nothing was working. I tried proactiv solution about a two months ago and my skin is very clear now. I will continue to use this product as long as I have acne. The only thing I fear is that I will stop using it and my acne will come back again.

Proactiv works really well for my skin. At first, my skin was dry and it tended to flake a lot. It was usually around my chin area. But I would rather deal with that then have acne. The dryness did tone down a lot overtime (with the help of their moisturizer). I have heard and read that it is normal to have dry skin after using this product if your skin isn't super oily.

In about a week, my forehead was completely clear of pimples, and my chin was too.

I still do get a few pimples on and off, but never as much as I use to. If I ever get pimples, they are usually very small and aren't very red. But hey, it's healthy to break out sometimes.

The only bad thing about this product is, it takes a long time to heal blackheads. Even WITH the mask and pore strips.

i tried this product for about a week and the cleanser did make my face alot smoother, but my face would turn super oily when i first applied the lotion. it also gave my rashes and made a eyes swell, probably because i am allergic to it.

Eh..I was on retin A micro and I really thought this would work so I went off my retin A and onto proactive. I am still getting pimples, no improvement -- the only improvement is that my skin is smoother and much much less dry than retin A. But I think I am actually getting more pimples now compared to Retin A.

The only thing good that I can say about proactive is that it seems to give your skin a healthy glow when you use it. I still broke out just as much as before on the product. And when I would break out it would make my acne even worse. I believe it makes it more likely to scar and bleed than ever before. I think this is due to the fact that it tends to make your pores smaller and tighter. Maybe it works for somebody certainly didn't work for me. At the age of 29 I am still looking for something to clear up my skin. After using this product I will be back at my doctors office once again looking for a solution to my acne problem.

You what clear skin? SWEAT!!. sweating cleans the pores from the inside out. Thats how the romans used to clean themselves back in the day when they didn't have soap.

Here's my theory:

Proactiv is engineered to *initially* make your skin look and feel awesome. So you say to yourself, "Wow, this really works!" and continue buying it.

Eventually, and the time frame is different for everyone, it WILL stop working. Not only that, but your face will dry out, become red, and start flaking.

At this point, most people would stop using the product. However, if you stop, be prepared to be Pizza Face, because you're about to face the worst breakout you've ever experienced.

I'm 24, I've been using Proactiv for a year, have ceased seeing results MANY months ago, and the only reason I keep buying it is because I'm terrified of what happens when you stop. Thanks, Proactiv.
