I have been on Proactiv for at least a few years. I first noticed improvement in my skin, less breakouts. But then after sometime the irritation started, my skin dryed out, and the breakouts began. Personally I think the 2.5% BP in the product is great, but the cleanser is to harsh to use twice a day. All in all the product in my opinion is not successful.

I've been using the English version of Proactiv which contains Salicylic Acid.I had very bad acne and since using proactiv I have noticed a great improvement. The US version has 2.5% Benzol Peroxide which, if you think about it, is less than most topical acne products. I was using a product with 10% Benzol Peroxide, so quite frankly there wouldn't be any point using this. I've looked at comparisons between Benzol Peroxide and Salicylic Acid and the Salicylic Acid comes out on top. Can anyone tell me if the refining mask for them. I haven't touched mine yet because I don't like the smell of sulfur. Does the US version have sulfur in it? Maybe that's the problem...we're NOT all using the same product!

I have been using the system for about 3 weeks and seeing very little improvements in my skin. It has not prevented new pimples from forming and is drying out my skin, and causing some wrinkles, even though I am using a moisturizer! It is slowly clearing my existing acne, that is the only good thing about it so far. Too many side effects for me! Stick with a well balanced diet, drink plenty of water, and use oil-free non comedogenic products and I bet most people's skin will improve on it's own. No Thanks Proactiv!

Been using it for a month, hoping something would change.

Don't give your hopes up, it only costs an additional $45/month for continued consistent bs.

The cleanser is iffy. The consistency and smell differs bottle-to-bottle. The toner and BP are good, but I get milia (small bumps) from using so many products at once.

This product is awful! I had very mild breakouts that were bothering me. My roomate had been using it and it worked for her. But it burned and dried out my skin. The worst thing of all was that it gave me these cyst-like bumps on my face that I am still trying to get rid of six-months later! I would suggest going to see a dermotologist before using this product.

This is one of those "miracle" treatments that clear it up initially. After about 2 months all of my acne came back.

I have been using it for almost 4 months and it only helped a little. I still break out and it wasnt worth it I would suggest the exposed acne treatment--thats what i am going to start using and its suppose to work amazingly!!

The good news: I tried Proactive and it worked miracles. My face was clear after only about 2 weeks.
The bad news: I had a horrible reaction to it. My skin was so dry it didn't even feel like my skin. When I touched my skin it was like this horrible numb sensation. It felt like my skin was going to split open and it was itchy! I had to take Benadryl and put on a topical antihistamine for 3 days. To this day, I cannot use anything containing Benzoyl Peroxide or else the same thing happens within a few hours.
Horrible, Horrible stuff!
