Proactiv Solution Reviews

This product worked well for about the first 6 weeks, in combination with the other 2 steps of the 3-step regimen. However, I noticed that these products seem to quit working after a while. Perhaps others found the same thing. When I stopped using them, my skin got really bad for a while. When I began using them again, my skin cleared up for about 6 weeks and then it stopped working again. I am still on the Proactiv "roller coaster" because I have not found another product as effective that does not cause irritation.

I live in Calgary, the dryest city on the planet, plus my mom was from a very humid country before she moved here so my skin is even drier! I just started using Proactiv and my skin is incrediby smooth and clear now... yet extremely dry. The moisturizer works for about five minutes before my face feels like a prune again. I've even used moisturizing masks that worked for me before, but now they dont. At least it gives me a few extra dimples!

I used this fr five years, off and on. It works great after the first two months, but after about a year, it stops working, and when you try to stop using it, breakouts get even worse. And the "membership" plan forces the customer to keep buying it every two months.

I'm a 34 black female with moderate acne and loads of dark spots from former bumps. I've been using proactive for one month, now my pores look better and skin is smoother BUT all the spots are still there.
I get fewer pimples BUT the existing spots are now more prominent.
How do I get rid of the dark spots!

I ordered 2 Proactiv kits at once hoping it would he a wonder for both me and my brother. I am 24 and have mild acne. The invoice that came with the package is different, of course higher, from the checkout price at the proactiv website. My skin got oily after using it for a week. Due to both the scrubbing effects of the cleanse plus the glycolic acid in the toner stimulate oil production of my skin. I bear to finish the whole kit and my skin got more oily. I feel cheated on my time and money (especially the not-quite-honest price differences). Proactiv is not for everyone.

Proactiv did nothing to help in my battle against acne. It did make my skin VERY soft, but that's about it. I have mild acne, by the way.

i have used the Proactiv solution and it worked really well for like two weeks and then boom all of a sudden i had a whole face of acne worse then before i started using it. I am getting my money back. Its like my face has an immunity to it

This stuff is okay, I dont think it lives up to what its all hyped up to be. I quit using it because its way to expensive and I didnt really see any noticiable results. If you have insurance I would stick to going to the dermatologist its cheaper and you get better results.

I have been using ProActiv for about 2 months now. It seemed to work a lot when I first started using it and my forehead and nose are completely clear now but lately I've been getting the kind of pimples (almost cysts) that hurt on my jawbone and lower chin. I haven't used the product long enough to say if it works or not but so far, I like it. I like this product a lot and since I've tried almost everything else, I recommend it. I was on Accutane a year ago and when I stopped taking it, I was only clear for about a year until I started breaking out again. I also have used Differin gel, every Anti-biotic someone can take for acne, and practically every cream dermatologists recommend. But as of now, I can somewhat control my breakouts with ProActiv. So, give it a shot!

proactive was nice for the first couple of days. i thought it was amazing that i could actually notice myself not waking up with new acne. However, its been about a week later and it dried out my skin SOOO much. the toner burns and the lotions harldy acts as a moisturizer. I force myself to put it on b/c i want to see results but i end up running to the sink to wash it off my face and putting my normal lotion on it. My acne is very mild, so i don't know if its just to harsh for my skin.
