Proactiv Solution Reviews

If I consistently apply proactiv it keeps my skin clear of acne most of the times (there are always instances when 1 or 2 pimples would show up suddenly). However, if I try to stop using Proactiv, my skin gets bombarded with acne. I think some of the people on this board are right in that your skin gets addicted to Proactiv. I hate this aspect of Proactiv.

I started using this product in December everyday and my face took on a new look from Day One! I ran out of it in mid-February and my face went hay-wire! While i waited for my next order I tried using other well-known lines and they messed with my face! People were used to seeing my face so smoothe and clear that the pimples on my face-though normal on others seemed extremely hideous on me, someone who's had perfectly clear skin since December! The product is great. I just wished that the repairing lotion could moisturise more and didn't evaporate as quickly especially since I don't have the SPF15 solution. Best thing for me though!

I'm in my late 30's and recently began having horrible breakouts. After struggling with drug store medications for almost 3 months, I purchased Proactiv. Within 5 days my skin was clear! As long as I am consistent with it's use, my skin stays clear. I do use a philosophy products in conjuction with it to alleviate any dryness or irritation.

I have always had pretty nice skin. Sometimes I would have problems with blackheads on my t-zone, but nothing too bad. Then, I had a baby and my skin started to breakout a ..especially on my neck! (Those deep..kind.) Yuck. So, I ordered Proactive. It seemed to work at first, especially on my neck, but then it caused my whole face to breakout! It also caused a dermalogical reaction on my hands! So, I think it is pretty safe to say that it doesn't work for everyone.

When I first started using proactiv, it made my skin significantly worse. My mother used to tell me to stop using it because I looked so bad. But after about the first 3 months of using it twice a day I realized that it was not helping and decided to "ween" myself off of it. I started using it once a day, and stopped using the toner because I did notlike the way it made my face feel. But once I did all of the my skin started to clear up--really well. I may I will have been using only the cleanser and the lotion every other day for a year and I could not be happier. My skin is completely clear, except for few dark spots, which I will probally buy the skin lightening cream for. I really recommend this product if nothing else has everyt worked for you. Also, I am African-American and I know alot of us have questions about if it'll work for us, but I can assure you it does.

I first started using Proactiv about 8 weeks ago. By day 5, after following package directions and using twice a day as recommended, my face was red, sore, and peeling off in layers. It took several days of not using the product for my face to heal. Then I started using the repairing lotion just once a day and the cleanser and toner once every other day. I finally have it down to using the cleanser and toner a couple times a week but the repairing lotion once each day, and my breakouts seem to be under control and my face is only slightly flaky in some areas. I can handle the slight dryness as long as my breakouts are greatly minimized. I, too, think the product is pretty pricey and am sorry I didn't stop the second automatic "club" shipment because at the rate I'm using it, I have plenty of product left.

I used Proactive for about five months. At first it seemed my skin cleared up slightly, then every once in a while I broke out, badly. First two months I used it with the lotion, and after deciding it was encouraging the breakups, droped using the lotion, and stuck to just the other two products. After about 5 months, my skin hasn't improved since I got the stuff, and seeing as the four to five months costed me about 120 bucks, I'm not to pleased with it. Clearasil worked better for me.

For me it worked great. I have never had much trouble with my face until pregnancy. I had cystic acne on my chin. It was awful and hurt so badly. Nothing I did would help. It never let up. I started the Proactiv and haven't had another outbreak. It really was amazing. Obviously results vary from person to person, but I love it.

I dont have bad acne but I usually break out before my menstrual cycle. I started using pro activ and I havent had any breakouts. I love it.

I have been using Pro Active for 2 weeks now. I saw it on TV. It has made my face dry and itchy especially on the areas around my chin and below the jaws. My problem was black heads and I heard that Pro Active can help dry out black heads and remove scars. Until today, I havent got any black heads. I am pleased with that fact. But the dryness and itchiness irritate me alot. Last night, after using the cleanser, toner and repairing lotion I had to wash my face with water because of the itchiness.

Regarding the packaging, it was difficult to open the box. However, the fragrance of the product is pleasant. The price is OK, but my reaction will change depending on the results I'll get. But, overall, I think I'll stop using it. I dont want to take the risk and end up with a red itchy face and pimples.
