Pros: It cleared up my skin 100% in just a few days! I LOVE PROACTIV! I still have it, but I dont really use it a lot because its been 3 months since I used it. Now my face is clear :)! Cons: Kind of expensive, but that does NOT effect the product itself. Bottom Line: I love it Recommended: Yes Usage: Lisa has used this item for about a week. Pros: Refining mask for spot treatment Cons: Made my face feel tight DRY and whenever I smiled it felt like my face was going to crack off!!! Bottom Line: I purchased this about a week ago. I do not have bad acne, a zit every here and there but I figured I would try it anyway. OMG!! After 2 days my skin started to dry out so bad that I couldn't even wear makeup! Right now it is flaky and my face feels so tight that I feel like it could crack into pieces at any second! Proactiv is def NOT for me...maybe if you have lots of acne and very oily skin it could work but for me...not so much! I am going back to my skinlogics by beauticontrol...that, I KNOW works for me...no more experimenting :) Recommended: No Usage: sarahhh has used this item for about a week. Pros: NOTHING! i didn't even get to use it! Cons: i ordered Proactive October 5th under the Express shipping 2-3 days. I HAVE YET TO SEE IT. i wrote to them two wks after not getting it and they said they refunded my card for the shipping. i didn't give them any acct info! After a month of not... Bottom Line: ...getting it. I finally called to adk what is up. Apparently it was shipped to the nearest fedex(never said what one) and i had to pick it up, since i didn't show they sent is back!. i was to get a letter in the mail i was supposed to sign so they can resend it. NEVER resieves a letter. I am calling tmo to cancel it and i am going to Acnefree! Don't order it unless you are ready to make phone calls everyday til you finally decide to cancel! Pros: It is great for moderate to severe acne which I've had for several years but is now controlled. I still get breakouts but they are small and not frequent, unlike before. My face is clearer and less red. Cons: Proactiv agreed with my skin. two weeks off it, I get the nightmarish breakouts again. So I guess Proactiv only controlled the breakouts and not cured them. I also need to use moisturizer to keep myself from getting oily. Bottom Line: This product works for me... until a better product comes along. I am still on Proactiv now but I have substituted the nightly regimen with just the renewing cleanser and tretinoin (Tri Luma / Retin-A) and am using SPF >50 during the day. My derma and I have agreed on this regimen for now because I am quite resistant about being 100% off Proactiv to transition to another treatment plan. I cannot unconditionally recommend it because each skin is unique, but I recommend everyone with persistent acne to AT LEAST give it a try. Pros: Works for the first time and clears up mild acne. Cons: My skin eventually became resistant to the benoxyl peroxide and healing time increased. I have extremely oily skin and this dried out my skin (which was good) BUT it ended up making my skin produce more oil. Bottom Line: Alright for the first few weeks then it got too dry and stopped working. Did not work for my Asian oily skin. Recommended: No Usage: Alyssa has used this item for about a year. Pros: I am taking a break from it. Read cons for reasons Cons: It seemed to be working the first week, my face did not get irritated or dry, however the more i used it, my face became red (irritated), and dry as well. and it with the continued use (about 2 week) it started to burn when i used the lotion/toner. Bottom Line: i think im going to wait another few days until the redness goes away, and see what happens then. if it doesnt dry out or get irritated again, ill stick with it to see if it works Recommended: No Usage: Reviewer has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: Eh.. it works great for a while (ive used it consistently) The fragrance is quite nice... Cons: Works for like a month then i get all kinds of acne all over my face. Makes my skin really dry... the toner stings my face. My skin feels so tight after i use it. REFINING MASK HAS NEVER WORKED FOR ME. Bottom Line: It doesn't work. Pros: Worked for about 3 months. Cons: Ineffective after 3 months. Bottom Line: I would pay anything to have clear skin these days. I'm 25 and I have sensitive skin with cystic acne around my chin. It's really embarrassing. I always had great skin until my 20's. This product requires the use of a light oil free moisturizer after use. It will dry skin. After 3 months, my skin plateaued and stopped responding to this product. It broke my heart, I thought I had found my answer. Recommended: No Usage: Desperate has used this item for a few months.
