Proactiv worked a little for me and it really dried the heck out of my face. Sometimes it would burn and my face would flake. Um but if I stopped using it I seemed to get more zits..

I started using Proactive a couple months ago, and it was terrible. At first, it was okay, but I kept using it and it chemically burned my face. One day, it got so bad I had to be taken home from school. Your skin also becomes addicted to it, and after quitting using it, my skin broke out alot. I am now using the Aveeno clear complexion line, and it is way more gentle. Do not waste your money or time on Proactiv

Pros

  • Clears up face
  • Works Fast

Cons

  • HARSH
  • Only works for a bit
  • Expensive
  • Burns
  • moderately severe
  • for a few months
  • $ 75
  • I do not recommend using this product/treatment.

I just bought my first kit. In order to buy Proactiv automatically enrolls your credit card for auto refills to ship every 3 weeks. Before I could even print my receipt a online chat popped up. I asked that my c/c by taken off the account and I was told it was too soon I would have to call back and they ended the chat. I discovered that in order to use the site and purchase any items you have to be enrolled for the auto refills. Sorry, but that is a bad way to do business. Keep looking.

Horrible product with horrible customer care.

Pros

Cons

  • Never use this product. It is such a horrible thing to use. And top of that they charge you for the products which you never recieved. Even though I ask them to cancel my subscription after 15 days, they send me more 2 packages which I never received. They had my phone number, email I'd and still they made me default and send my account to debt collection department. Very bad customer service and people there don't know how to speak. Guys these are thugs and liars.

over all it works, but you have to learn to use it with moderation ....the benzoyl peroxide and the salicilic acid that it contains dries the skin .... so i recommend to use it 3-4 times a week instead of every day.

Pros

  • easy to order
  • clears skin but when i stopped using it for a few days i got a few pimples.
  • the fragrance doesnt really bother me

Cons

  • dry`s out my skin
  • makes my skin itchy sometimes
  • have to moisturize much more than usual.
  • moderate
  • for more than a year
  • $ 34.99

Highly glamorized product that doesn't deliver results. May be good for someone with very clear skin and an occasional zit. Otherwise it was very ineffective for me

Pros

  • Smelled good

Cons

  • Made breakouts worse, very time consuming (3-4 steps at a time gets really time consuming) expensive
  • very light
  • for about a year
  • I do not recommend using this product/treatment.

Proactiv does clear the skin of acne but the side effects are brutal and I do not have sensitive facial skin

Pros

  • cleared up cystic acne after just a few treatments

Cons

  • swollen eyes
  • red burning, itchy, peeling skin
  • lines in my face were exaggerated
  • painful to smile, my face felt like it was on fire and would crack if I smiled
  • scared to quit the system because I have been warned that my acne will get worse!
  • moderate
  • for a few weeks
  • $ 68
  • I do not recommend using this product/treatment.

Works for my skin, I haven't had a bad breakout since I started using it. I just wish that I had tried it years ago. It has given me confidence back again. My recommendations is to try it once regardless of negative reviews because it works for me, I will continue using it for life. The only issue I have been with it is it dries out my skin so I need to use moisturizer regularly but it beats having acne!!

Pros

  • Works for my skin
  • No more breakouts
  • Monthly delivery

Cons

  • Dries skin out
  • moderate
  • for more than a year
  • $ 28
  • I recommend using this product/treatment.

Worst product experience EVER. I'm sure it works for some people but it was simply awful for me. I didn't notice any difference in the amount of acne, but there was definitely an effect. My skin got so so so SO dry, to the point where my skin was tearing when I smiled. My face was burning and always painful. I want to throw something at the tv whenever their commercial comes on.

Ruined my complexion completely, now I will have to see a dermatologist to fix the damage it caused.

Pros

Cons

  • Ruined my complexion, I have blotches of acne under my cheeks, from ear to ear, down my chin.

  • for a few months
  • $ 100
