Pros: It worked for the first bit, caused my acne swelling to go down Cons: It dries out your skin super badly, the toner smells really gross, it stopped working for me after 2 months now my acne is pretty much back Bottom Line: If your acne isnt super bad then i would suggest going on proactiv, if its pretty bad go to the dermatologist and demand something to get rid of it, screw the benzol 5%. Pros: It smelled good,, Cons: The toner burned my skin like crazy! It didn't clear up my skin at all. If anything it made it worse. Bottom Line: It didn't work like I thought it would, like all the commercials said it would. I wasn't satisfied with it at all. I am sending it back for a refund because it was a waste of my money. Pros: It worked great for about 2 years for me. Quit for about 6 months and am now using it again to clear a bad breakout. My face already has that smooth feeling that I missed when not using it. Cons: My face got very dry and irritated when I used it twice a day. Changing my routine to once a day worked much better but unfortunately it didn't last. My face became more sensitive and my breakouts took longer to heal so I stopped using it. Bottom Line: It does work if used routinely. In fact, I'm back using it right now after a terrible breakout from using an oral medication called Minocycline (which really didn't work for me). Now after not using Proactiv for 6 months I'm going to try it again to clear things back up. Hope it works... again! Pros: no pros, but their packaging was nice, man what good graphic design can get you! Cons: numerous chemicals that poison your body, and in-turn make your skin look old. dryness and itchy feeling from the benzoyl peroxide sucking all oils from your skin(doesn't matter if you use only a little) if a product burns when you use it STOP! Bottom Line: The bottom line is that Proactiv puts out a typical product that doesn't perform as well as if you used natural products to let your body naturally heal the skin on your face. don't poison yourself with their chemicals. If i had not bought the lie for 2 whole years i could have saved myself from a lot of psychological misery and physical pain. Their customer service is awful! Proactiv loves their money! Please listen to me! Pros: Makes your skin feel smooth and light(if you use it right, not just blob as much on as you think you need). Redness dies down almost instantly after use. Appearance of skin looks smoother and balanced after use. Cons: Takes awhile for it to finally get rid of all your breakouts. If you stop using it, your skin breaksout alot, but then eventually goes away. Bottom Line: I've had Proactiv for about 2 years, I stopped using it because it took too long to make my breakouts dissapear completely. I finally started using it again and i'm going to let it do it's magic. Even if it takes awhile. I know my skin will eventually clear up if i consistently use it. I love the way it makes my skin feel. Your skin will feel tight if you use too much of it. Like steps 2 & 3. ( only use a moderate amount of step 2 and a very light amount of step 3 or your skin will feel extremely tight) OVERALL I love Proactiv, and can't wait for the results. Pros: Clears up the skin quite quickly, overall oily appearance disappeared within days. Product is very good for what is it supposed to do. Cons: After 2 weeks of use, my skin became very dry and often irritated when applying the product. It even appeared as if I was peeling from sunburn and I would constantly have to apply lotion for this. I would not recommend ordering this online. Bottom Line: Their online promises and agreements are very deceiving. Whenever they say 19.95 or something like that, they really mean that plus a 30 dollar charge to your card next month. Also, I have tried to cancel these shipments and they continue to bill my card, even after emails saying this would not happen! I have sent emails and wasted a lot of time with Proactiv. They say I could return the package and receive my money back, less the shipment charges, however I never received this package and is just a hasle to get my money back! Pros: Shows signs of improvement after the first couple of times, skin feels smooth & soft afterward, easy to obtain, nice packaging. Cons: Isn't the best acne treatment on the market anymore, doesn't cure scars, stops working after a few months, if you're not consistent your face will suffer the consequences. Bottom Line: I would recommend this product to anyone that has light acne severity. For those who have it worse (like me), I would strongly suggest getting over-the-counter treatment (for me, the best over-the-counter treatment I got was Clenia). At first, Proactive helped improve the appearance of my face. But after a couple of months, it started to die down and I would still get breakouts, whether I was consistent with my face-washing or not. And if I was to miss a session, I felt that my face got ten times worse than before. Again, it's a decent product (especially now that you can get them for cheap and at the mall), but not intended for anyone with serious acne problems. Pros: Proactiv is by far an excellent product. Clears up acne 100%. I use it once per day and it works great. Cons: If I stop using it for a couple days I will break out again. My skin is not sensitive at all. My friends skin is and she can not use the toner. Bottom Line: Great product if you do not have really sensitive skin.
