Pros: Proactiv works great! I loveee it so much. Cons: You have to keep up with it use it every night or you will start breaking out into little spots again.. Cons: none Bottom Line: I ordered this product about a year ago, but was afraid to use it because of all the negative reviews. So instead I've spend about $1500.00 on expensive products at a skin care center. Well about a month ago I just could not afford to buy from the skin care center, so I said what the heck I have the proative in my cabinet, I'll just try it. I wish I had done this a year ago my skin has never been so clear. This product dis work for me and I love it. My skin is clear and soft. But I also do use a good mositurizer. I highly recomment it. Pros: I have used proactive for about five months and still have not seen any results.Proactive is a waste of money. Cons: It actually made my pimpiles more irritated. Pros: Keeps skin clear, Works fast, Doesn't dry out skin, Quick and easy to use Cons: None! Bottom Line: I've been using Mary Kay before, and that cleared my acne, but it dries out my skin and doesn't clean thoroughly. I always go back to Proactiv because not only does it clean thoroughly and get rid of every trace of dead skin cell there is, but it doesn't dry out my skin at all. Plus, it's a 3-step process that doesn't take more than 3-5 minutes, so that's a plus for me in a busy school morning. Usage: Nora has used this item for a few months. Pros: smells okay...It dosen't make my skin dry like some people. Cons: No real results, kept my skin red, had a very wishy washy pattern to it, never made my skin clear, you run out of toner before you do the cleanser or lotion! Breaks out my cheeks :[ Bottom Line: I would not have tried this product if it were not given to me free by my friend's sister. I don't fall into strange TV ad gimmicks, but I decided it was worth a shot while it was free, just to see what all the hype was about. When I first tried this product I thought it looked pretty nice, heard some good/bad reviews on it. Once I put the first step on my face it felt like it was actually cleaning it..maybe. The toner was nice feeling, and the lotion...oh ouch. That stuff burned my skin so harshly. My skin felt raw and looked awful and red after using it, but that slowly goes away a few minutes afterwards. Once trying it for about a week or so day and night as directed, I saw that although it didn't dry out my skin like some others have claimed, thank goodness, I noticed that it has a very wish-washy pattern to it. It'll make it seem like it's working for a while and then totally break my skin out even more. Recommended: No Usage: Heather has used this item for about a month. Pros: worked for a short period of time ..... Cons: is very harsh and strips skin of its natual goodness, bp is irratating, toner has alcohol and the cleanser is like a scrub so ur scrubbing ur face twice a day.....BIG NO NO Bottom Line: i used this product because i was so desperate and uneducated about acne at that time, this product is too harsh and does nothing in the long run....only works for a short while until ur face gets immune to the bp %. it is not a good idea to be so harsh on ur skin, over drying and scrubbing only make things worse. good luck Recommended: No Price Paid: 75.00 Acne severity: moderately severe Was this comment helpful? Pros: Very consistant with shipping product! Packaging looks nice! Cons: The stuff does not work. They over charge for their product. Bottom Line: They give you false hope. Leading you on.... oh it will work over time. It did not work, it was too expensive and when you call to complain ....oh we have another type that is stronger ....for more money...of course! Well why did'nt they suggest that 6 months earlier when I called in with concerns? I suggest if you have bad acne to go to a dermatlogist and get something that works. Pros: It works fairly fast.Makes your skin soft,and fresh. Cons: If you stop using it after a couple days(even if you switch to another product)your face breaks out. Pros: Clears up acne for a while Not fragranced Works okay with sensitive skin Cons: Not really for severe acne, skin got used to it Left with scars Expensive for the quality Bottom Line: I've used the three step system for about two and a half years. It didn't make my somewhat sensitive skin red, dry, itchy, or peeling, so that is good. At first, it cleared up my bad acne, but I was left with bad scarring on my forehead and chin. Eventually the system stopped working and I continue to break out. My skin got used to it and it was doing nothing for me. It wasn't controlling the oil on my face either. I was satisfied with it at first, but I finally went to the doctor and got a prescription. So far, I've seen a difference using prescription benzamycin.
