Pros: None at all. Cons: Dried my skin out in a serious way (skin eventually was just peeling off). Cost a ton and i even stuck it out for a long time (probably out of desperation). Made my acne and overall my skin look way worse. Bottom Line: Was terrible and it makes me sick to see the infomercial on all the time. Was expensive and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I haven't used it for a number of years now but I honestly after seeing how much it's advertised would like to discourage people from going into it blindly (do some research and see if anyone else who is not only on the internet has had it work for them). On a side note i would recommend not trying any acne treatments with benzoyl peroxide as a main ingredient. It is a harsh chemical and ESPECIALLY if you have sensitive skin (or dry skin) it will destroy your skin. And if it does work for some people i haven't met any in real life that have had any success (tens and adults alike) so be very skeptical. Pros: none Cons: false hope ,it made my face clear for about three weeks then it all came back. made my face realy dry and itchy. stinks. Bottom Line: bottom line , watch the "ghost wisperer" you'll see if you look at Jennifer Love Hewit's face you'll notice that she still has alot of pimplesunder all that make-up!!!! Pros: Absolutely works but you MUST stick with it. The original version did not work for me but I used the Extra Strength version and overall it does a good job. Cons: The only issue is that I still have periodic breakouts but they are now where near what I had without Proactiv. Bottom Line: Overall a very good product and cost effective give its daily use- BUT you have to be consistent with it. For me, it did take several weeks before I saw significant results but the customer service staff noted that this can be the issue with some people. Since I didn't develop acne until well into my adult years, it's been heard to find a product that has worked. But all in all, this is the clearest my skin has been since the onset of acne. Pros: - It came as a complete kit - The infomercial gives a good placebo effect (i.e. making you believe it will work) - Clear instructions Cons: It didn't work for me, made my acne worse. It was very expensive. It only sells via tv and one online store over here. It didn't last nearly as long as indicated. Rereading the info off their website makes me feel cheated. Bottom Line: Even though it didn't work and made my acne worse I must admit i'm glad I tried it. Now I know it doesn't work for me, and can move on to other cheaper options. I guess it works for some people, but reading the reviews here really makes me wonder how they can claim to be so successful. Recommended: No Usage: Enry has used this item for about a month. Pros: Smells great. Leaves skin feeling soft. Easy to use, not time consuming. Cons: Does not work. Too expensive. Bottom Line: I have a lot more pimples when NOT using it but overall it does not clear up anything or help my appearance. I am not satisfied with this product at all. I have been using Proactiv for a while now thinking nothing else would help but I've recently read great reviews on Mary Kay's Acne Treatment Gel and I'm going to try that out and STOP using Proactiv. Pros: i really can't think of a pro. it honestly did not work. Cons: it dried my skin out, terribly. the refining mask that is supposed to "clear up pimples overnight" definitely did not work. overall epic failure. Bottom Line: My acne was mild, and it didn't even come close to helping. Not worth it!!!! Recommended: No Usage: nothankyou has used this item for about a month. Pros: none Cons: way too expensive for a product that doesn't work! Bottom Line: Made my face severely red like a sunburn and then it peeled my skin off my face! My girls used it for about 6 months before I tried it and it did nothing at all for them!! I would never recommend this product to anyone!!! Pros: My son tried this product for 8 months. This product does not work it ruined my sons face who was 16 years old at that time now 17. He had very few acne before he tried this proactive then it got worse after treatment. Cons: Expensive and does not work. They have an excellent commercial to sell this product and would not recommend to someone to try because it is too costly. Bottom Line: Product doesn't work and the company have celebrities to advertise this product. Shame on them. It ruined my teenage son's face.
