Pros: none Cons: expensive for what it is. it doesn't work for spotty pimples Bottom Line: it is the same thing you can get for a fraction of the price at drug stores. My dermatologist cousin told me the main ingredient is Benzyol Peroxide, which is something you can easily purchase anywyere for cheap with the same effect. Furthermore, you end up with tons of cream and not enough toner. They send you a set every month, which is too much to begin with, and totally annoying when you have to stop the order cause you ended up with 3 sets you haven't even opened yet. Pros: Product does work..... Cons: If you can wait 2-3 weeks after they've billed you. Don't even think about calling 'customer service' about your bill, they'll chew you up and spit you out leaving you feeling like a complete idiot! (She even claimed I couldn't read)..... Bottom Line: After the first billing of the 29.95 for the kit plus 2 "free bonus gifts", I was billed an additional 29.95, (I assumed this was for the following shipment) A month later I was billed an additional 37.50. To get to the bottom of all the billing and NOT receiving any products I called "Customer Service", after 10min of dealing with their horrible automated directory I finally got someone on the phone, she told me that the 2 "free bonus gifts" is actually a 5 piece kit that comes to about 70 bucks a month! (No wonder 'B' list actors and 'D' list musicians support this product, they can't afford it on their own) The price doesn't bother me, it was how RUDE their "customer service" is... and they'll bill your account whenever they choose.... Pros: Everything! Cons: None! Bottom Line: I have used Proactiv for several years now, I just recently switched to a cheaper over the counter face wash to try and save money, and I completely regret it. Even after less than a month, I started breaking out. Proactiv is worth the price. I bought some more today and already after one wash my face feels wonderful again. Pros: the packs that you can get, its good to pick which one suits you. and which you can afford. bought mine at a kiosk, good costermer service. smells pretty good, smells like sunscreen to me. Cons: takes a while to see results at least a week or two. i get a burning sensation when i use the toner/lotion, and skin turns red and itchy in some paces, (im not allergic tho) Bottom Line: goood product if nothing is working to get rid of your acne its a bit expensive for thos with not alot if money. tip; some people use the lotion (number 3 bottle in the 3 step system) as a mousturizer when its actualy not. in the basic pack it does not come with a mousturizer so i would recomend going up to a pack that does or buy a mouturizer because proactive might and probably will dry out your skin. Pros: NONE! Starts to work then just dries the crap out of your face. Cons: Customer service is HORRIBLE, and the WORST reps I have ever spoken to in taking care of an issue. I woudn't recommend this to anyone, if you want it buy it at the mall, and forget the ordering service, THEY SUCK. Bottom Line: Bottom line, it takes like 2-3 to ship to you, then if you dont receive it, they wont expedite or rush you another one, you have to wait again for 2-3 weeks. So in not receiving my order and asking them to cancel my account and credit my account for the order I did NOT receive, they said they would send out this so called "affidavit" in order for them to issue my credit. Well I dont know if they are headquartered in SYBERIA, but the form itself takes 2-3 weeks for delivery (its a piece of paper for crying out loud). So called in after the time frame of NOT recieving my "affidavit" and the second rep said "there is nothing here that they ever issued it out" so she issues it out, wait another 2-3 weeks still not receiving it and call back and ask to speak to a MANAGER, well you can't speak to a manager, you can speak directly to billing, you have to tell them so they can write it down and NOT DO SH*T ABOUT IT. Pros: When it works...it really works! There are times that Pro Activ leaves my skin completely clear and smooth...for a couple of weeks. Cons: It doesn't consistently work. Just started using it again about three weeks ago, after taking a couple of months off (because it stopped working). I've seen no change; I've noticed more, larger, pimples. Pros: It had a great fragrance, the mask really helps with pimples, i usually put a little bit on my pimple and the next morning the pimple had calmed down a bit. Cons: It made my skin REALLY! dry and itchy, i had dry flakes all over my face and even looked like an old lady, i stopped using it and i only attempt to use it when i have bad pimples but still i can' get my face back to normal as it is still dry. Bottom Line: I wouldn't recommend it for people with sensitive skin and really only buy it if you have BAD BAD BAD! acne. Recommended: No Usage: Lily has used this item for about a year. Pros: It definitely *feels* like a medication. Cons: It's a harsh product, over priced and smells scary. Bottom Line: This product is pretty harsh on skin. When using Proactiv I was always pretty gentle, yet it sucked a lot out of my skin and left it dry, flaky and irritated. Their so-called "amazing" product, the refining mask did *nothing* for me. Except for leave my skin flaky. It's not worth the price, in my opinion. Plus it smells bad. Spend your money elsewhere. Recommended: No Usage: Lauren has used this item for a few months. Pros: Works quickly while removing acne and clearing away blackheads and scarring Cons: The smell is terrible! It's like playdoh and sulfer. Leaves the skin looking oily or leaves it very dry Bottom Line: Proactive is a great product, but the smell makes it hard to use it every day. The sulfer smell is in the toner, and can make your eyes water like crazy. It does shrink and remove acne, but if you have a very sore acne spot, the pain won't disappear as fast as the apperance of the acne. I like the mask though, that's excellent. Pros: NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cons: THIS STUFF IS SH*T! Bottom Line: IM 15 AND THIS STUFF HAS MADE MY FACE AWFUL !!
