Proactiv and any of its knock offs do not work. Try zapzyt with moisterizer, its 1/4 of the cost and works in a week, where as you could spend $40 a month on proactiv and never really see results.

Pros

  • none!

Cons

  • expensive
  • ineffective
  • for a few months
  • $ 40
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I used Proactiv from age 12 to 14. It did nothing to help my acne once I started getting cysts.

This is a product for mild acne due to enviromental factors and not for hormonal acne.

Pros

  • It's not damaging to your face.

Cons

  • Does not stop or prevent acne from forming.
  • for more than a year
  • $ 40
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

It could work for you, But even if it does, you're better off buying something that's twice as effective and even cheaper than this stuff. Don't let the commercials and endorsements fool you!

Pros

  • Well marketed product. May work for others. The mask worked pretty well. A full system was included. It's a skin kit

Cons

  • Not a product that works in the long run. Endorsed by celebrities that don't use the product (Jessica Simpson was on accutane, not proactiv). Expensive.
  • moderate
  • for more than a year
  • $ 80
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

Pros

[not submitted]

Cons

  • Dried out skin, irritation
  • moderate
  • for about a year
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

Only use it if you'll commit to it daily or twice a day like they recommend.

Pros

  • It works, if you use it daily and moisturize your face after using it.

Cons

  • Dries your skin out if you don't use a moisturizer afterwards. The payment may not be affordable to all. If you skip a day, you break out.
  • light
  • for a few months
  • I recommend using this treatment.

DO NOT BUY PROACTIV IF YOU ARE A SMART PERSON WHO DOESNT WANT TO PAY A COMPANY FOR A FACE FULL OF PIMPLES. NO THANKS

Words cannot describe how enraged and scammed that I feel. I have had acne since elementry school. after seeing how 'magical' proactive is cracked up to be i decided to order it. So yeah at first it worked. And then youre like oh yeah!!! Found the secret! But no gullible consumers that is not the case. Proactive worked. Then stopped working. And thats when the nightmare starts. It really just irritated my skin so bad that it broke me out all over my cheeks (i never had breakouts there). Now im ashamed to walk out of the house and my self esteem has tanked below zero. I have such anger for proactiv that i made an account on this website to let yall know so you wont end up like me. It was theft thats what it was. Youre dependant on their stupid system that doesnt end up working long term... and then when you go off it to try something else you get a whole party of shhiiiit on your face.

Pros

  • it worked for a while before it effed me over.
  • the refining mask was good for drying out pimples overnight

Cons

  • dries out skin
  • scam
  • expensive and not alot of product
  • ineffective long term
  • breaks you out like a motherffff
  • you wont want to leave the house bc you have such bad skin
  • moderately severe
  • for more than a year
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I started using Proactive a couple months ago, and it was terrible. At first, it was okay, but I kept using it and it chemically burned my face. One day, it got so bad I had to be taken home from school. Your skin also becomes addicted to it, and after quitting using it, my skin broke out alot. I am now using the Aveeno clear complexion line, and it is way more gentle. Do not waste your money or time on Proactiv

Pros

  • Clears up face
  • Works Fast

Cons

  • HARSH
  • Only works for a bit
  • Expensive
  • Burns
  • moderately severe
  • for a few months
  • $ 75
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I just bought my first kit. In order to buy Proactiv automatically enrolls your credit card for auto refills to ship every 3 weeks. Before I could even print my receipt a online chat popped up. I asked that my c/c by taken off the account and I was told it was too soon I would have to call back and they ended the chat. I discovered that in order to use the site and purchase any items you have to be enrolled for the auto refills. Sorry, but that is a bad way to do business. Keep looking.
