I tried proactiv before it started to get so popular and was my last resort after using all sorts of creams and prescription drugs and it did clear up my skin for the time I used it with minimal irritation. But the price was killing me and I had to stop using it for a while. My skin stayed clear for a while be then the deep bumps and acne came right back. My sister also tried it and it cleared up here skin also but gave her a rash that looked almost like little heat bumps all over her face and dried it out really bad. I think it might be helpful to use additional moisturizing with this product.

I have used this product for around a year now. It doesn't work that great. It does get rid of alot of the small pimples and some times my skin will be flawless for a whole week. But then I will get a few really bad deep pimples on my face which will linger for 3-5 days. So all in all I think the product is overpriced and over advertized. You notice on the commercials the people getting interviewed have considerablly better looking skin than before they started using Proactive. And they say Proactive has made their skin better. They are telling the truth but don't forget Proactive has an extensive makeup line!! So their skin does look better because of Proactive like they claim because alot of them use Proactive makeup to cover their skin to hide acne.

The only thing that I don't like about Proactiv is the price. I have tried other over-the-counter everything with only moderate success. But then my roomate ordered the Proactiv system and she was nice enough to let me let me try it. While it did not magically zap my zits away forever, like the infomericials suggest, it really helped me control my skin. After a few weeks, I really did see improvement on my face. However, a word of warning: _always_ use moisturizer with it, because the BP will dry out your skin like crazy.

Beware!!! Makes your skin VERY red and has left mine all swollen, hope it hasn't donw any permanent damage. Don't even think about trying it unless you have 3 days off work/school.

Iv fought acne all my life. Im in my late 20s and Im still getting cystic acne on my cheeks and jawline. Iv been using ProActiv for 5 months with no much result. It doesn't stop me from breaking out and makes my sensitive skin very dry. It does not help the black heads. The refining lotion helps tone the skin some. Its not worth the money.

i just started using the product and i am hoping for better results....the redness went down after the first night...but then again my acne is not all that bad. the price is reasonable because in the past my medication cost $20-$75 to get out every two to three months.

i'm 32 years old and i get blemishes around my chin and temples - the system worked for about a month then it dryed out my skin and made me break out even more. the repairing lotion works well but only if applied on areas that have the blemish otherwise it makes your skin dry.
