Proactiv works. it could smell better but it's not that bad. It dosen't work right if you don't use it right. I used it twice a day for about two weeks and my face cleared up, but I didn't use a whole lot. I used only what the guide saidto use.

ATTENTION EVERYONE! STOP BEING RIPPED-OFF BY GREEDY corporations that take advantage of people with acne. Mult-step acne systems such as Proactiv and Exposed are the enemy! They are overpriced because they trick people into thinking they need toner, special lotions, cleansing pads, etc... All you need is 2.5% Benzol Peroxide, any type of moisturizing lotion, and any type of soap. The Benzol Peroxide is the only thing that kills the acne-causing bacteria in the pores. I refused to pay outrageous prices and finally found a generic brand of spot treatment (main ingredient was BP) at Dollar General store for ONE BUCK! I buy a one ounce tube of 10% BP. (HERE IS THE MONEY SAVING TIP :Ten % is too strong to apply directly to the face. I mix a pea-sized amount in the palm of my hand with an equal OR GREATER amount of water. This dilutes the BP down to a lesser strength that the skin can handle. Do this before bedtime. It may take some trial and error but eventually you will have no trouble knowing how much water to use. If you accidentally use too little water and feel burning, rinse the area well with water) Wash face first with any type of soap. I use Ivory. After applying the BP use any type of face moisturizer. FOR PEOPLE WITH ACNE ON THE BACK AND ARMS THIS IS the only way you can get large amounts of BP for an affordable price! If you don't like the guess work of mixing your own BP with water, go to [link removed] and order just the BP gel. (This is the only site I have ever found that offers reasonable prices) Go to Wal-Mart and get soap and lotion. You will save big $$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!! If you can't get to a Dollar Store you can get BP at Wal-Mart. It is the main ingredient in Oxy-10, and other spot treatments but you will have to pay more. Their instructions say not to spread all over the skin but if you dilute with water it works just like Proactiv. A one ounce tube of 10% BP will last you a month or more if you use it on your back, up to three months if used on the face only.

It works, but it gave me my allergy to benzoyl peroxide when I never was before. It smells good. Hella expensive. Not worth it.

I started using just the repairing lotion before I'd even ever heard of the CSR. I had read somewhere that the repairing lotion was really the only aspect that you needed, and that was correct. The repairing lotion (using with cetaphil and Eucerin skin renewal, products I've using for years) cleared my skin up nicely, but I had to resort to buying bottles of the lotion from ebay because I didn't want to shell out for the whole line from Proactive. This worked just as well as the BP gel, except that it had an annoying fragrance, it's more expensive and harder to find.

This stuff rocks. Some people have said that it made them worse so they stop, that's NOT WHATCHA DO. I started out and then had a bit of a breakout, but it cleared a lot faster than normal.

Big white bottle, green bottle, little white bottle, moisturizer.

In that order!

I enjoy proactiv because of the way it makes my skin feel, too.

When I found Dave's regimen, I dug up two half-empty bottles of Proactiv repairign lotion from previous attempts of clearing up my acne. This is only my secnd day using the lotion as my 2.5% BP, but already my skin looks healthier and clearer. It's pretty drying so I'm going to slow it down to once a day for now. Very good product :).

I have been using Proactive for months and it has worked wonderfully! My skin has completely cleared up AND I recomended it to all of my friend and it worked just as well for them. You have to follow the directions religiously. Go through the three steps when you wake up and when you go to sleep every single day! Things like stress and that time of the month may cause some unavoidable breakouts but overall it works great.
