Pros: nice consistency. helps clear up breakouts. Cons: leaves skin VERY dry in the winter especially when used two times a day as recommended. Doesn't clear skin all the way, only partially. Pros: cleared up my skin the first couple months (i also used the proactiv cleanser,toner, and mask thing) Cons: it dried my skin up, but it was all good after i got a decent moisterizer. then it actually caused my skin to break out after a couple months so i stopped using it. Bottom Line: idk...unless you have severe acne i proably wouldnt recommend it. Recommended: No Usage: karen has used this item for a few months. Pros: Worked at preventing acne for the first few months. Cons: The price. Didn't do much for existing acne. Bottom Line: There are certainly much more affective and reasonably-priced benzoyl peroxide moisturizers out there. Save your money. Pros: My acne started to disappear in a matter of days. Cons: The fragrance of this product caused the skin around my eyes to become swollen, dry and red. Obviously proactiv is not for sensitive skin! Bottom Line: For those of you people who don't have a sensitive skin issue I would say this is an excellent product. I am not sure if I am allergic to BP or if it is just the fragrance which has been added to the repairing lotion. Recommended: No Usage: MMD has used this item for a day or two. Pros: Works for most people if no allergic reaction. Cons: I am allergic to benzoyl peroxide. Even in such a small dose. So I break out in red and itchy rashes wherever I use this treatment. Bottom Line: Make sure you're not allergic before you use this. Even at only a 2.5% dose. If you are allergic and you decide to try it anyway, just be careful. The redness and itchiness lasts for at least a day. I'm sure if I wasn't allergic, it would work great for me. Recommended: No Usage: Kristen has used this item for about a week. Pros: It did clear up my skin at first. Cons: It dried up my face leaving it irritated and horribly flake-covered. Your face has to produce more oil to adjust. Bottom Line: I was a user of the proactive system for years and then one year it just quit working. My acne came back worse than it had ever been and proactive team kept switching me to different formulas but none worked. So it will show you results fast, but it will eventually stop working. Pros: left my skin bright, glowing, and clear....ish. Cons: Didn't totally clear me up, but i wasnt expecting it to. Bottom Line: Like it it enought to buy again, but don't necessarily love it. aslso, nasty back acne annie, water is a neutral and therefore will not dilute the BP, instead use a base such as a moisturizer :] all you are doing by adding water to ur bp is making it well, watery Recommended: Yes Usage: TigerLily has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: Feels nice on your skin, nice container Cons: Made my skin way worse. It is so red and painful. Smells bad too. Bottom Line: Smelled bad, didn't work. Pros: It clears up your skin within a few weeks! It works wonders!! Cons: The sulfur in the product gives a bad odor even though it works great! Bottom Line: Its a great addition to the proactiv set! Thing is you have to keep using it even after your skin clears otherwise it will come back. ;( Recommended: Yes Usage: Margaret has used this item for a few months.
