I've been using Proactiv for about three weeks now. I suffered through initial redness, tigling and itching for about the first week, and stuck with it because i was noticing a difference already. I'm going into week four now, and my skin is pretty clear, but i'm still suffering with incredible dryness. I moisturize and it goes away ... until i cleanse my face again. i think i may reduce the application to once daily at nighttime to see if i can get my skin's texture back to normal. If not, i may have to discontinue use of the product even though it's working on my mild acne. I've also been trying to get rid of a contact skin rash under my chin and on the front of my neck which i believe is due to this stuff. i don't apply it to my neck, but i think maybe some somehow came into contact with it while i was sleeping. the rash isn't incredibly noticable, but it itches. we'll see what happens after this next week ...

I got my proactive kit in the mail and i was so happy and I thought that this was it, this would be the product that would help get rid of my acne and I was wrong. for the first week it made my skin smoother but then i would break out into a rash i did not pay 60 dollars to have my skin break out into a rash. Anyway from what i read, i can see that it may have worked on about 10 people but it did not work on 100 people. So if you have mild to moderate ance i would suggest you stay away from ProActiv!

This stuff works great but is TOO EXPENSIVE. I've switched to plain Dove white bar soap or Cetaphil plus the bp gel, which works just as well and is much much cheaper.

I have been using for about 3-4 weeks and I have noticed improvement in my skin. I still have gotten a pimple here and there, but they seem to go away faster. And it seems to be helping my older acne spots. I do not use the toner, I tried it and it burned and made my face very red, but I do not seem to need it. Toner typically is not necessary, just used for an additiona money maker. The only thing I hate is I cannot buy the items separately, I only use the lotion and face wash. I guess that is a way to make the money. Anyway I would try it if you have not.

I have used this product last year and i've tried the 3 steps of proactiv and i found something... the first box works but not the second one! I dont know why but i dont like those products, the best lotion i ever used is and it will always be, neutrogena and after comes clearasil and i dont like oxy because it's too small for such price and it's not working really if i compare to neutrogena, i use only neutrogena because those are the BEST! products i ever used in all of my life, ok it's expensive but it's the best!! Would you like to pay something a little bit much expensive for one time or try another things and spend your money like crazy!!?? neutrogena is the best, believe me, i'm suffering from acne since now, 5 years and i know what i'm saying, i dont have more pimples now, because i take care of my face with those products ;-)

at first it was awesome, and then a week later my skin broke out into this horrific rash. wherever the lotion didn't touch (ie around my mouth) was fine, but the rest of my face was bright red (think sunburn) and bumpy. sooooo discusting. be careful anyone who uses that stuff.

** For those of you who like Proactiv, but not the price, there's a generic knock-off brand my drug store carries called "Klear Action" which has all the same products for $15 for a kit.

It works well for me. I see improvements on my skin, but it does dry up your skin a little. I wouldnt suggest it to all though. The price is too expensive and I might try to look for other acne medications that are cheaper. So far Proactiv works best for me. For some Proactiv is a miracle and others it just drys up their skin and make acne worse.
