Pros: Quickly removes whiteheads, blackheads, oils on skin. Works every time. Cons: Stings a little, doesn't remove the "red bumps" acne unless you use it long enough.Not many people know how to use it correctly. Goes fast. Bottom Line: Works extremely well for removing whiteheads and blackheads. Use it long enough and it can clear up your face. I'm not even sure I'm using it properly because there are no directions on the bottle. I wash my face with soap, apply the oxy formula, wait about 30 seconds, and THOROUGHLY rinse it off. Pros: It gets rid of you huge, inflated zits :) Cons: But you still have tiny zits, unless you use it for months. The packaging is drippy. Bottom Line: Good product. Pros: removes oil---------------FAST LOTS better than Proactiv size of acne reduced quickly Cons: Oil comes back after washing Bottle empties fast sometimes stings skin Bottom Line: I have used proactiv and it just doesn't match up to Oxy I used both Sensitive(green) and Maximum(red) Sensitive- has 5% benzol peroxide and is gental on the skin-after you can feel the coolness Maximum-has 10% benzol peroxide and can sting skin a little but it goes away quick-workes faster than Sensitive Bottom line--- Try it you never know Recommended: Yes Usage: emilie has used this item for a few months. Pros: Temporary drying of pimples. Cons: To drying, irritation, just use 2.5% BP its just as good, or better. Pros: -Works -Cheap -Better then Proactiv Cons: -Must be used consistantly -Stings -Very runny -Takes a few weeks to work Bottom Line: Works better then the 60 dollar proactiv kits. Pros: Works well for mild to moderate acne. Cons: Bleaches clothes. I have lost a lot of clothes as a result of using this product, sweating later and finding my clothes were bleached even though I didn't get the product anywhere near the clothes. Bottom Line: Don't want to alarm people but I think The Mentholatum Company is phasing out the 10% benzoil wash in favor of the Salicylic Acid wash. I can't find the 10% wash anywhere. I have found the 5% wash. I tried the Salicylic Acid wash and had at least 2 new small pimples every day. In addition, my acne started to rage out of control after just 2 weeks even though I used the benzoil peroxide spot treatment, and washed my face at least 3 times a day. If you check out the reviews for Clearasil products you will see that some people respond well to Salicylic Acid. My experience was exactly the opposite. I've been dealing with adult acne for many years. The 10% was one of the few products that worked despite the fact that it ruined much of my clothing. It was a trade-off I was willing to make. I am now going back to my doctor for a prescription to a 10% benzoil peroxide wash. In the meantime, buying up the only remaining bottles that I found at one drugstore in the entire city. Pros: Clears skin fast, affordable Cons: Must be consistently used Bottom Line: I used ProActiv for 5 months. It cleared my skin sometimes, but I usually ended up breaking out pretty bad. I decided to try OXY as an alternative, and woke up to clean, clear and oil free skin. I don't have to wear concealer anymore. My friends compliment my skin everyday. A+++ If you want to feel good about your face, BUY THIS!! You won't ever have to worry about what your skin looks like in florescent lighting, ever again. :-) If you use the face wash, I'd recommend the OXY PADS and OXY ON THE SPOT TREATMENT too. Pros: I love this stuff. I'm going to buy 2 bottles before I go overseas for a year! Works much better than the expensive brands and competing brands. This $4 bottle works BETTER than the $120 Obagi acne kit I bought. you can't go wrong. back to the basics Cons: may dry a little. but if u have jojoba oil, you don't notice a difference Bottom Line: GET IT! My acne was moderate. I mostly have scars, but I did have a lot of random big pimples that would come out. Especially the ones that was under my skin. those are the worst cuz they look like bumps and u can't pop them. However, once I got this, i haven't had any. actually, i did get a small one, but i used the OXY spot treatment along with the washer and it never became an actual bump. so yeah, i love this stuff. The reason y this stuff works is because it sticks with the basics. no fragrence, no fancy ingredients. just straight up benzoyl peroxide @ 10%. Love it! Pros: It works so well to get rid of my mild acne. A friend of mine who had severe acne says it has efficiently reduced the amount of severe acne he suffered from and said that he used it as a face wash and a spot treatment before he would go to sleep. Cons: It drys your skin out when you use it too often, and it also drys your skin out when it is very dry outside. It burns a little bit when you first start using it. And when you stop using it for a day or two your acne starts coming back asap. Bottom Line: I SWEAR BY THIS STUFF FOR MY ACNE!!!! It is easy to carry around, but the lid of the bottle breaks kinda often. The last 3/5 of my bottles lids have broken.
