Oxy Acne Wash, Maximum Strength Reviews

gr8 product, have been using it for 3 years straight, clears all my spots. good value, lasts for ages

I've used this product for about a year and it works great for me. I had the dry flaky stuff at first, like many others talked about, but it went away after about a month. Be patient. I only use the product and nothing else- no astringent, no lotion, no spot gel, nothing. I use a dime sized amount and very gently and for a very short period of time- no washcloth- just rinsing with water splashed by my hands. I use it twice a day. I took Accutane for a year (3 years ago). This is longer than usual and longer than recommended) and was told it was a cure. My zits came back 6 months after I finished Accutane... So I have tried every natural product and every other product, combination of products, and this is the only thing that works for me. So now I have a problem- that I live in Honduras and I just ran out of the Oxy facewash and they used to sell it here- and now they don't. I have looked in literally 15 pharmacies and its NOT HERE!!! Sooo I am trying to wait patiently while my friend sends it express to me. In the meantime while I am waiting- I am all broken out at the moment because I stopped using it for 2 weeks. I sympathize with all of you who have low self-esteem from acne. I have good self-esteem almost always... until the zits show up. I tend to hide in my house until the acne is cleared up- so acne and the self-esteem difficulties with it are almost an emergency sometimes. I am currenty on my 3rd day "in hiding." Please hurry up mail!!! Anyway I want to say to those of you who are suffering that you are not alone. I am 25 and it took me this long to figure out the perfect remedy for me. I think its different for every acne sufferer- you'll find your remedy too someday soon. :-) Good luck.

This stuff works for AVERAGE skin problems--NOT SEVERE ACNE--and I also put it on MOSQUITO BITES, which works better than stuff made for bites. REAL ACNE PROBLEMS should be seen by DOCTORS, which is not what I'm reading here.

This worked well for me for years. My approach with it is to wet and rinse my face in cold water in order to reduce the amount of moisture removed as much as possible. Strangely for the past month or so it seems to be absent from the market, here in california, so perhaps it has been discontinued. My theory about the washes is that they dose the acne forming bacterias intensively while you're washing, and then leave a much smaller fraction of benzoyl peroxide behind after you rinse which helps to inhibit them. There definitely is some left behind after rinsing.

In the 30 years I've been dealing with acne, this is the only product I have consistently used and stuck with. It is not a cure, but it helps. It is a nice wash that you can easily control the effect of by changing the amount you use, the length of time you wash, or the frequency of use. It will dry your skin if you use alot or often. Since it is a wash, the bp in it is not left on your face so it is an adjunct to some other treatment you might use (unless you are lucky enough to have this wash be effective for you by itself).

I used this product about 2 years ago after the CVS brand was discontinued. It made my acne worse and my face more oily than ever. I stuck it out hoping it would change but it didn't. I don't believe in BP anymore. I used it for years and then it just stopped working-I guess because your skin becomes immune to it. Plus there are lots of undesirable side effects. For me all natural products work better.

This is definitely a 5 Star product. I tried everything to get rid of these nasty pimples on the sides of my face. I purchased this wash and in day it had them drying up and coming to a head in 10 days. My face is pretty much smoot in a matter of 10 days. I have tried Antibiotics, Retin-A, Prescription washes, and I love this stuff. Cost is EXTREMELY reasonale for results. I am about to reorder. Can't go wrong with this OXY!
