Pros: It really works!
Cons: Shockingly expensive for those of us without prescription drug insurance!
Bottom Line: It worked! At first, as many others have said, skin did get worse. It took a few weeks of it looking awful before face started to clear up. But, now it looks terrific! I am thrilled with results.

However, I have to stress that this medicine is not for those without drug coverage. I paid $305.00 at CVS for the large tube. No, that is not a misprint. I actually paid $305.00 for a tube of acne medicine!!!

Bottom line: it does seem to work, but if you don't have coverage, ask your derm for some cheaper alternatives. This drug does not come in generic, but there ARE other alternatives that do.

Pros: Really helped in about 3 weeks. No new breakouts. No real side effects besides initial breakout.
Cons: Initial breakout during first 2 weeks was pretty bad. Had pimples where I never had them. Whiteheads popped up in strange spots on face. And planning around meals is kind of a kick in the head.
Bottom Line: First medicine I ever used for acne. Besides initial breakout I would suggest this drug to anyone with mild to moderate acne.

Pros: This has been the only product I've used that consistently worked. At 46, I've tried everything. Lytic cleanser, toner and lotion followed by the renewal lotion has dramatically improved my skin. The antimicrobials make it great for body acne too!
Cons: At first I did break out, but I broke out with accutane too. I started out slow with the lytic cleanser first, then slowly added the lytic lotion. Products really worked to put the brakes on oil production without stripping the heck out my skin.
Bottom Line: My doctor carried these products and they have totally changed my skin; at 40 I still struggled with acne all over. Their chemical peel has really made a huge difference, doctors who carry the line usually have the peel too. It's worth every penny because the products are super concentrated, so my cleanser lasts for about 5 months.

The lytic lotion plus seems to melt the big breakouts and has been a great spot treatment.
So many acne treatments pound the tar out of your skin, and leave it looking worse than before, this line has actually healed my skin.

Pros: This stuff is wow... Clears up your face in no time!!! It really gets to work once you start putting it on. You can really notice a difference very fast.
Cons: I am noticing dryness around the nose area and around my lips but other than that there is nothing else bad about it! Just use a moisturizer and your good to Go!
Bottom Line: I am twenty one and I never had acne this bad boy even in high school. I had so many blackheads and those deep pimples that really hurt along with a lot of swelling and red bumps on my cheeks. It looked gross and everyone began noticing and commenting and I hated covering it with makeup cause it looked like I was trying so hard...finally went to a derm and this was the best thint ever. I tried so many medicines but nothing helped!!! It has been a week and I can tell the difference and so can a lot of other people! I can finally not wear any makeup and look NORMAL!! The first few days you will notice the ache getting worse but its because its literally getting all of it out!! Then poof its gone! Little by little the bumps are smoothing out and I love the results so far! I will continue using this product I recommend this to anyone! And I have sensitive skin so this is great nothing to severe on my skin! Just keep in mind people have different skin types so this may not work ohn you buy
