I just recently started taking Ortho Tricyclen Lo (about 1.5 months ago), and now that I'm reading these posts, I'm beginning to have regrets!

I started on Ortho Tricyclen when I was 18, and my face has never broken out so badly in my life. I thought it was stress from starting college, even though I previously got maybe one pimple every 2 months. The week I changed from OTC to Nordette, my face started clearing up. I felt it was hard to lose weight on Nordette, so I recently switched to Yasmine... and once again, my face is breaking out. I'll take the few vanity pounds and switch back to Nordette if it means not having a face full of pimples.

For years I tried all sort of product for my acne. I visited four diferent dermatologist and was put on diferent treatments but nothing would take mu acne away. After almost giving up I visited another dermatologist and she prescribed the pill. It Worked! Ortho Tri Cyclen took my acne away. I've been using it for a year and I haven't had any side effects. It's just great. I can't beleive I wasted all the money and time on acne products.

After having my second baby I wanted my tubes tied but the doctor said i was too young. I was first put on Yasmine, horriable pill hungry all the time, anxiety shakey, than doctor switched mt to ortho tri cyclen lo. I've been on the pill for 7 mths but it makes me hungry all the time i gained about 8lbs. feel bloated and moody , im waiting till my pack is over than i want to get an IUD....hormone free birth control. Read more about this method because it has no hormones and last for 10 years or whenever you want to take it out. 99% effective

I recently started getting bad acne ever since my grandmother passed away. Nothing seems to help. I have tried Proactiv, every antibiotic, store boughten creams/cleanses. I did pay for an internet detox with cucumbers and lemon juice. My acne did seem to improve, but I havent been taking the rest of my vitamins. I have never been on birth control before and with reading all of your testimonials, Im not afraid. You'd think with being a VEGAN, I'd have great skin. But, unfortunately, I have a huge sweet tooth. I am only considering OTC. Not Lo either.

I recently started Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo a month ago. I have had horrible break-outs, worse than before, and my sex drive has gone way down (use to be extremely high), I'm 25. Also, I have a headache everyday and I'm sad allot. I am on my 2nd pack of pills, and I think I'll give it the three full months to see if it clears my skin, and if not I'll switch to the regular OTC, because I took that 3 years ago, and my skin was completely clear on that one. I thought the Lo would be better with less side effects but so far, it's been worse with more side effects.

Was on a treatment of Accutane when I was 15 but still had acne on my back and shoulders, was put on Ortho Tri-Cyclen and it cleared the rest up. Four years later my acne came back, went on Trinessa (generic version) but it caused me to menstruate for a month straight, was switched to Ovcon 35 but it made my acne worse than it's ever been, I recently got back on Accutane as well as Ortho Tri-Cyclen and my face has cleared up wonderfully. I would recommend this, but as it looks by others' comments, don't go generic and don't go for the Lo.

STAY AWAY FROM THE LO!! Omigoodness, when i was on ortho-tri-cyclen things were fine, my skin was finally clear, after having struggling with it as a teen(differin and benzamicin were getting pricy). I didn't gain weight on it either. When planned pregnancy switched me to Ortho Lo, I didnt think it would be any difference. Trust Me, all these message board all over the net are not lies. On Ortho tri-cylen lo, my face looks like HELL! i dont even want to go out b/c of these huge painful cystic bumps. I cant stand to even look in the mirror. I have scheduled an appt with the doctor so I can go back to the regular. It is SO NOT worth the trouble to stay on this pill!!! Don't get the LO!
