I just recently had my first baby 4 months ago and have been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for one complete month now.I have been straight bleeding for 2 wks now(and that after 4 wks post partum bleeding)grrrrr...so I don't know what's up with that.I wonder when I will finally stop bleeding. Is there anything I can do to make it go away?I take the pill very accurate at the same time each day, I am never even a min.late so that cannot be the problem.I do get very intense cramps every morning when I wake up.I've never had painful cramps like that before.

This stuff made me break out so bad. I first tried Ortho Tri Cyclen for 6 months and it made me break out. I have always had a couple zits here and there (1 or 2) but not bad. So then I swited to ortho tri cyclen lo because my doctor thought it was too high for me. NOPE! It just didnt work, I used it for one year to see if my acne would go away and it didn't. Now I have been off of it for 6 months and I still have chronic acne :( . Which has turned into severe cysitic acne. I hate birth control it really screwed up my skin bad. I have read that oral contraceptives can cause candida (yeast infections) which cause acne so I think that may be my problem. Give it a look if you have this problem. GOOD LUCK!!!

I used ortho tri-cyclen for years and it was the only thing that ever cleared up my acne! My doctor said any birth control pill should help acne, but I found that of 4 or 5 different kinds I used over the decade, Ortho tri-cyclen was the only one that really worked (I tried the "lo" version and the acne returned). Now I'm planning a family so I'm off, and I can't wait to go back on it after babies so my acne will disappear again!

I went on OTC because of my moderate acne. The first couple of months were hell but then I really cleared up. I made the mistake of going off and broke out worse than I ever have, all over my forehead. I am back on now and my face is even worse, but I am confident that it will clear up again within a couple of months. No other side effects I can think of! But for girls with moderate to severe acne, this will probably help you, but I am thinking about going on Accutane because I want something more powerful because I am already starting to scar.

I started using Tri-cyclen 1 month ago. I have never had acne before, but my periods where very irregular. All of a sudden (about January) I began breaking out non-stop. On my chin and jaw line only. Every other day I had 2 more pimples. It was horrible and I'm sure if you have acne you know what I mean. I cried myself to sleep and the more I stressed the worse it got. I finally went to my doctor who recomended this pill. She said her daughters used it and it cleared their skin up. My skin has gotten a lot better, but I still do have some pinples, very tiny though and easy to cover up. I'm hoping that by the third month it will be SO much better. I recommed you try it..believe me I have tried evey cream there is even Pro Aciv and nothing works...because it's hormonal not topical...so try it!!

Used OrthTriCyclen for about 3-4 years. Switched from TriPhasil to help w/ acne. I'm very, very regular w/ light periods and limited cramping (much less than before BC). Very few PMS symptoms (mild acne break-out & breast tenderness two weeks before period). Not sure how it affected my sex drive. But it does dry my eyes as a contacts wearer. Other than dry eyes, I love OTC regular.

I switched to OTC Lo and am not sure how I feel about it. I'm on my 5th month. In 4th month, I've noticed my skin is more acne prone and my breasts are tender for 7-10 days, rather than 2-3 days on regular OTC. I think the lower estrogen levels on OTC LO is not beneficial for me.
