Been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen (regular) for 1 1/2 months so far. I started it for acne. I am also applying Retin-A Micro at night. Retin-A is working really well. I noticed changes overnight. Literally. The pill has increased my breast size, makes me very hormonal and tired about 5 hours after taking it. Everyday, at the 5 hour mark, I would feel something kick in: exhaustion, crankiness, etc... I've been told by my doctor that it takes 2-4 months for it to adjust one's hormones properly and to just keep taking it. I travelled recently and so my schedule got off on when I was taking it everyday and now on month 2 of being on it, I got my period a week earlier than I was supposed to. Oh well.... looking forward to the 3 month mark to see if my system adjusts....

I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for five years. I was using it for birth control. When I went off it I noticed a huge difference in my acne. More!

well i just finished my third pack,i'm on it 3 months now. I'm an absolute emotional wreck, tearful 100%of the time!I get cranky, angry and vicous! I have seen an improvement in my skin,it has cleared in parts and I'm able to see the skin healing around my spots. It'll take more time obviously and the advice I would give is comply and adhere to it:regarding the time you take it and if you're taking any other acne treatment with it keep with it!!I saw one side of my face clear and it was but like the fool I thought it was ok to be relaxed about other treatments and it relapst! sickner!!!!(I'm on Dianette)

I've been on Ortho Tricyclin Lo for about two months and I can tell that my acne has cleared up quite a bit. Instead of big zits, I just get hard bumps underneath the surface of my skin, which I have never been able to get rid of except with Doxycyclin. It is the next best thing to antibiotics that only last a short time period. I do still break out during my period though, so my months are spent 50/50 breaking out and clear. Its better than nothing, I guess. PS. I also use Acne Free which helps during my period.

This actually worked pretty well for me. I would rarely get serious break outs, but when I stopped taking them for a while, I broke out like crazy because of the hormonal chaos I caused. I have recently started taking Ortho Tri Cyclin Lo, but I haven't seen any change in my acne. The reason I changed to Ortho Tri Cyclin Lo is because I couldn't handle how emotional the regular pill made me.

I have been on several birth control pills without problems before, but this one made me feel totally hormonal. I felt like I was losing my mind. It did nothing for my acne.
