Pros - Improved acne drastically
- Improved skin complexion
- Less moodiness
- Increased breast size
- Lighter periods
- Facial hair lightened
Cons - low energy and irritability for a few days off it
- Increased appetite
- Remembering to take pill
Bottom line I was skeptical of this product at first because of the reviews but I really like it. Doctor said first few months might be difficult, but after finishing my first pack I like the results already. Barely any acne flareups since I started and my mood was improved as well! Cons of this product was that my appetite increased causing some weight gain but its barely noticeable. Also I realized when I came off it to have my period, I had some mood swings but it went away after a few days. I have tried almost everything to control my acne for years and I finally found something that works. I Highly recommend this product!

Pros no pregnancy
less acne
slight mood swings
no weight gain
Cons slight mood swings
headaches
Bottom line I have been on this pill for a month and absolutely love it. I am on this pill for acne and have already noticed a difference! I have noticed less acne on my forehead and chin. I do have some on my jaw line and neck but it is slowly but surely going away with face washing regimen and benzyl peroxide use as well. I would definitely recommend this BC because I have not gained weight (but I do work out regularly) and not many mood swings. I have noticed that I am a little bit more sensitive to some things but overall its great!

Pros No weight!
Short period! (three days)
No pregnant!
Less acnes
Cons rarely headache
Bottom line I used Tri-spritic for almost 3 years but I was gained wight around 30bls during college year. I was not happy about it and decided to stop Tri-spritic for one year. My bf was worried when I was off BC because we dont want to have a baby or not protect from sex. So he wanted me back to on BC. I dont want to back to on BC (tri-spritic) and I found out that my friend use Ortho Tri-Cyclen. My friend said that this BC is great and less effective. She told me try it and I love it! My insurance is pay this BC from Parenthood and do not go to regular pharmacy because they wont pay for it. Only Parenthood willing to pay from insurance.

Pros Increase in breast size
Lost weight
No cramps
No crazy mood swings
Cons Acne still present
Shoulder acne
thick chin hair still present
Bottom line I haven't used this for very long yet so I will update in another few weeks. I have developed cystic acne on my shoulders from Ortho Lo and went on regular Ortho but still no change. My face still has cysts. Facial hair I've been struggling with because of an imbalance in hormones still present.

Pros -Works well as birth control
-Does not cause nausea like some bc pills do
Cons -Developed large painful back acne
-Sever face break outs.
Bottom line Started this pill about two weeks ago and everything about is spectacular. Aside from the fact that my face broke out terribly.
Everyone's skin is different this may work for someone else.

Pros Skin cleared, Effective,
Cons Touchy,
Bottom line I was on this pill for about a year. It's really effective for acne, I found my skin cleared after about a month and stayed that way. However, personally I found it to be very touchy. If I missed a day, I would start my period. Even if it wasn't time. Though a lot of my girlfriends are on the same one, and didn't get that. I'm now switching to Seasonale, here's hoping that's better!

Pros *birth control
*less acne
*no side affects really
*not worried about becoming pregnant
Cons *remembering to take it everyday at the same time
Bottom line I've been taking these birth control pills for a week, and I noticed my facial breakouts to be at a minimum because i usually wake up with 1 or 2 pimples on my face every other morning which are noticeable and it sucks. These breakouts stopped pretty quickly throughout this whole week of taking the pill i have only one pimple on my face when i usually have 4 or 5 at a time. My acne is not terrible but i do not like it and i have felt very less pretty and confident because of it and i have even been on antibiotics which helped but are not good for your body and make your skin sensitive to light. Now that my face is starting to clear up i feel better and a little more happy and satisfied. I'm 15 and my face usually gets really oily or greasing and I noticed my face isnt as oily or greasy lately. I also do not have to worry about getting pregnant because you are protected after 7 days. I payed about $27 for ortho tri cyclen and i guess thats an okay price. So far i havent noticed any side affects i have no spotting or bleeding or nausea and im very surprised. Ive heard alot of bad reviews but I think if your suffering from any acne i think this is worth a shot but everyone's body is different. Ill put in another review in a month of so

Pros Clearer Skin
Effective Contraceptive
No Weight Change
Cons Initial Breakouts
Expensive
Bottom line I used this birth control from age 15-19. At this time, I was experiencing HORRIBLE breakouts. I can't remember how quickly it cleared up my skin, but it did a fantastic job. I remember the first month consisting of nausea, no appetite, and a crazy sex drive.

I stopped taking it when it was no longer an issue to take a contraceptive. Unfortunately, I never correlated the pill with my skin condition. About 12 months later, I started to break out more frequently.

It's been 2 years since I stopped taking the pill, and about 2-3 weeks since I restarted. So far, some nausea, appetite is the same, and no change to sex drive. My skin, on the otherhand, has broken out somewhat terrible. Usually I break out solely on my chin, but now it's EVERYWHERE. Forehead, cheeks, jawline (very unusual), chin. Cystic and otherwise. What's bad for me is that cystic acne always does serious damage to my skin (gets really dry and cracked around the area, causing a large scab). 3rd year university... don't need to look like I'm in high school... I'm hopeful that it'll clear up because the onset and peak time is 1 month when taken orally. Anyway, it's finals time for me and all I want to do is crawl into my bed and cry because I hate that I HAVE to leave my house looking like this.

Overall, love this birth control, hate this insecurity until it takes effect...

Pros Reduced Acne
Less Cramps
Period Regularity
Cons Weight Gain (maybe from it)
Head aches for the first few weeks
Bottom line While this helped to reduce my acne, it did not clear it. I would say that its helped with my severe cramps though. Recently, i gained a lot of weight in a short span of time with no change of lifestyle. My doctor suggested i see an endocrinologist but also added it could be from the birth control (ACK!)
