| Pros | No pros to this treatment. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Very expensive and didn't do anything for my skin. |
| Bottom line | I paid 400.00 for three sessions of the blue omnilux light treatments. After completing the sessions, I seen no improvement, so they said I needed to buy another package to see results. So I bought another package at 400.00. Did the sessions, still no results, paid for another package and 1200 bucks down the drain, and I have just a slight improvement. Not worth the money at all. Hocus Pocus! |

| Pros | Soothes and calms the skin leaving a brighter appearance. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Didn't really prevent new acne from forming. |
| Bottom line | I underwent 10 sessions of the red and blue light therapy and have been very pleased with the appearance of my skin after the treatments. I have moderate adult acne and moderate scarring. The light leaves my skin calm, and brighter looking. Unfortunately, the results do not last long, and the therapy has done very little to prevent new breakouts. I would recommend this procedure as a way to look and feel good about your skin once a month, but not as a long-term solution to acne. It's worth trying however, since I have seen better results on other patients with worse acne. |

Best treatment I ever tried. Got results after 1 treatment. I am an adult and have had acne my whole life, and will always continue to do so no matter what. But a monthly treatment with this light seems to make it go away. Only 20 minutes, feels good, but a bit expensive- about $100 each time. But considering the results, well worth it.

This treatment is pretty hit or miss. I went with the eight treatment package (which cost $500). If you have oily skin (even slightly), it may be best to stay away from this as it doesn't shrink pores and won't do much. If you have dry skin, you may want to look into this treatment method as the blue light is designed to "clean" your face from the bacteria.
Each session is 20 minutes in length and is painless. It starts off by washing your face with whatever the office provides. You then sit or lay down and put goggles on. It will feel like you are out in the sun.

I am 19 years old and have had moderate acne since i was 14. I have tried all of the products from over the counter to all of the antibiotics. In august i started using the obaji products which u also mix with retin-a, it worked very well for me but made me very dry and red, which made me extremely held back from doing my normal activities. I saw an add in the newspaper about the omnilux blue and red light treatments which claimled to have no side effects. starting this week i will be on my third treatment. My acne was dormant when i started my treatments. Since i started i still have no acne i am very happy to be off all of the antibiotics, creams, and [censored]. I highly recommend the blue and red light treatments even though i still have about 12 treatments left i love it.

I am 36 & have suffered from acne rosacea for 20 years & have been on antibiotics for 16 years to keep it under control, but even they aren't working now. I am halfway through a course of 9 omnilux treatments & this is the best my skin hsa looked & felt for years. It feels calm - no irritation, sireness or dryness & looks more even in tone & somehow looks more 'plump' and hydrated, It's not cheap but when I think of all the money I've wasted over the years on cosmetics & creams that have no effect, I feel it is a good investment.
