Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne Treatment Reviews

I was one that never suffered from acne problems-- growing up, I could use just about anything (including hotel soap) to wash my face with no problems. About a year ago, I started experiencing problems with my skin and I tried everything under the sun-- My dermatolgoist said that it was normal for females to experience adult acne due to their hormones, and she prescibed Retin-A and Clindamycin as a day and nite treatment-- It worked a little bit, but then the pimples started coming back, and it would get worse during my period. I knew some friends who tried Pro-Activ and it worked for them, so I thought why not give it a try-- WRONG!! It worked the first 2 weeks, but after that, everything was downhill....It made it absolutely worse! I was sooo devasted! Then my mom did some research and found this website and I said, what have I got to lose. So for the past two weeks, I have been using Cetaphil gentle cleansing bar, and the neutrogena on the spot twice a day. I can see a change-- I'm not getting as many bumps as I used to, and I can see the hyperpigmentation slowly starting to lighten. I was using the Eucerin moisturizing lotion, but it didn't agree with me, so I have been using raw shea butter, which works wonders for dry skin and fading marks, and now I use tea tree oil on the affected areas in conjuction with the neutrogena and I haven't had any problems. It's still early, but I'm gonna be upbeat about it. I will definitely report back in a month.

And for all of you out there who are having problems finding the neutrogena on the spot, go right to Walmart, i picked mine up for 4.47 a tube-- I use the product sparingly.

This prodict is excellent..i have used it for a few months and had helped alot..after proactiv really screwed me up. but recently i went to buy some more..but it seems to have been deiscontiuend from the main drug stores in my area..does anyone know why?...where i can find some?...or whats the next best thing for me to use?..thanks

Is this product being discontinued? It seems like it. I have tried alot of bp gels (proactiv, spectro acnecare, oxy) and this is the only one that works well. there is an expensive neutrogena kit available, but i can't find this particulair product anywhere in Canada. I may end up trying Dna's bp

I just got this stuff about 2 weeks ago and it's working great as a part of the clear skin regimen. My forehead was breaking out bad and so i bought this stuff along with a basic facial cleanser, and a neutrogena sensitive skin moisturizer...cleanse, put this stuff on, then moisturize. The first week it's a little drying, but you get used to it in a week and now my skin is smooth, no new zits. I used to have a new one every morning, it never failed. I honestly have no new ones and I can notice how much i'm clearing up. Get through the first week of dryness, it's definately worth it, and as long as you use a moisturizer it's almost unnoticeable anyways. I had some problems using it around my mouth...seemed to make me break out worse but I think it was because I used 10% BP first before i bought this and it dried me out so bad that my pores got clogged up. Don't ever use 10%..it's horrible and makes your skin worse, I've tried it more than once. THIS WORKS!! now i just have to wait for the old red spots to clear and i will have so much better skin. It's a little pricey for the BP but it lasts longer than you would think. It's WORTH IT!!!!

This stuff worked so great!! It didnt make my face dry or anything, but thats probably just because I use other facial cleansers with it- loast time i dunno what else i used but this time (i started breaking out really bad on my nnose, cheeks, chin, and forehead) im now using Biore pore Perfect trple action astringent. now my face is clearing up!!

Wow! Works GREAT with the Clear Skin Regimen. Will cause slight redness and possible irritation to eyes. To minimize this, I use green tea as an astringent beforehand. Also, the cream is labeled as 'invisible' but will turn your face a lighter tint when it dries. I use Jergens Natural Glow skin-darkening moisturizer to counter this effect. But this product DOES kill acne-causing bacteria. My skin is 1000% better. And since the cream contains a type of clay, the 'oily-faced' look is practically eliminated. This is a HUGE plus for me. To work effectively, make sure to use a generous amount on your entire face (easier said than done, given the price per quantity). However, the quality does match the price - so it's worth it.

I used the cream in the am and pm. By the third day the skin under my eyes was so swollen I looked just like Sylvester Stallone looked at the end of Rocky.

yea its expenisive but it does work... however when it does ball up and takes awhile to blend with my skin.... i decided to buy the cvs brand, due to money issues, same stuff excpt it is kinda watery but it absorbs faster and does not ball up and works just as great as neutrogena o0 yea and its just under $5
