I initially broke out a few years ago and got everything completely under control with dan's regimen. about a year ago I started breaking out again on my cheeks. I think my hormones are fluctuating but nevertheless i decided to look into salicylic acid products to really clean my pores. I started using this as a cleanser instead of dan's cleanser day and night and paulas choice 2% BHA lotion every night. My skin looks more radiant due to all the exfoliation and I have not broken out since starting. I recommend this product if you want to help unclog pores and have skin that is naturally not dry. good luck!

I used to have an oily t-zone, but now its SOO dry around my mouth and between my eyes, and when i put lotion on it to fix the dryness, it gets red and starts too burn.

I use this as a cleanser and there is no reason not to give it a 5 because it does everything it is advertised to do. I have very oily skin and moderate acne and this keeps the oil from accumulating on my face and I guess reduces breakouts. My breakouts have lessened and I like the nice after glow it gives. I do not even need a moisturizer, I see people complaining about it but it leaves my skin feeling refreshed.

I've heard that this cleanser is very drying from many reviews but not for me :)

This cleanser is supposed to clear up acne but it didn't really do that for me. My face as no longer very oily, though and that is a good thing. I do not think that this is a cleanser for everyone. So, bottom line, it's an alright cleanser.

Oh man how this face wash was so extremely drying. I have never had my face itch so badly with anything I've used for my face before.

It didn't smell good either. The only reason why I've been using it for maybe three weeks tops was because my Mom was. She wanted to finish it before she bought me something new to try.

It didn't clear or prevent my acne at all. If anything it made my face feel pretty clean until I dried it. Then I had to put layers upon layers of moisturizer on.

I don't recommend it if you have moderate acne and sensitive skin.

If you don't have oily skin, DO NOT use it. Common sense people. I keep seeing all of these bad reviews regarding people's face getting too dry. I have truly oily skin and this product only dried my face around my mucous areas for a few days then my skin was back to normal. This is what I needed. DO NOT give bad reviews if the product was not meant for you in the first place, please consider this when writing the review.

Some people think they have oily skin only to find out its not that severe. My skin is oily 2-3 hours after washing and applying my moisturizing. I inherited this from my mom. The wash does keep my skin clear, but I do not have a lot of acne either. I am not sure if this will help with severe cases.

This product is good for really really oily skin, those will light/mild breakouts and those who just want a simple product in between other products. If you are like me, I change products every couple of months. When I wash my face with this, I feel like I have washed off the day better than I have with any other wash (especially for the price).

Ironically, it caused me to break out worst than I've had in the past because my skin is naturally sensitive and dry. This product was just not for my skin type...it as just way to harsh for me.

May work well with others whose skin type are oily and not very sensitive. Give it a try nonetheless.

THIS PRODUCT LEAVES SKINN SO DRY AND TIGHT. NOT A GOOD OPTION FOR SOMEONE WITH NATURALLY DRY SKIN!!!!

I see a lot of people have been saying that you break out after using it once, and that is because every time you use a new product it charges through your skin layers and pushes the pimples deep down that are generating that would appear in like a week and just pushes them out. That's why you break out when you try a new product. I have been using this product for a LONG time. I am growing out of loving it because I need something a little more effective. Although, it is a nice product. BUT you DO need a good moisturizer after you use this. All these other people obviously haven't been moisturizing that's why they are getting the dry effect. MOISTURIZER IS KEY GUYS!!
