I really love this cleanser. I have extremely sensitive and dry skin that is prone to occassional breakouts. This cleaner leaves my face feeling clean but not tight and uncomfortable. I love that it is fragrance free and it also seems to have made my skin retain moisture so it doesn't look dry when I don't but lotion on at night. It's great!

Excellent, because it "puts back moisture everytime you use." I don't have to use a moisturizer when using this product with the REGIMEN...I have oily skin in general.

I have very oily skin but this just made it feel oilier. My skin didn't feel clean when I was finished using it and it didn't rinse off well. I switched to the Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser instead and I love it.

Some people think that Cetaphyl is the same cleanser as Extra Gentle but they are mistaken because I have extremely sensitive skin and when I use Cetaphyl I get ezcema. Extra Gentle is the only cleanser I have found to maintain an ezcema-free complexion. I actually am fearful that they will discontinue it, as sometimes it is difficult to find it in stock. For those people who say that there skin doesn't feel clean after using Extra Gentle, your skin is not supposed to feel taunt and dry, and removing all your skin oils contributes to more oil production. Try a water-based exfoliator to clean out yours pores......don't strip your skin.

I have been using Neutrogena products for years (face wash, moisturizer, make-up, hand lotion, shampoo, etc.) and have always been satisfied. I switched to the extra gentle cleanser when i started the regimen and it turns out this product is no different then the rest of the Neutrogena line. Department store quality at a drugstore price. Leaves face feeling soft and clean, never dry or oily.

It doesn't dry out the skin and works well. I have no complaints. I'll keep using it until I have a reason not to.

I get chin zits. really bad, really ugly chin zits. I thought this would be perfect, as I also have really dry skin. My chin zits have gotten worse in the three weeks I have been using this. Not only that, but now I have a cheek zit and a couple of forehead zits and some upper lip zits too!

Is it just me, or shouldn't a face cleanser not cause zits?
