Pros Quick procedure, bruising gone within 2 days
Cons Very expensive
Bottom line I've had acne since i was 10 and im now 21, i've tried every cream and antibiotic the dermatologist could prescribe and even took 2 courses of roaccutane. Im doing a course of 4 salicylic peels and 3 N Lite treatments alternating each every 2 weeks. So far i've had one peel and one N Lite treatment. Although i've had an outbreak since my first N Lite i've been told this is normal and i can already see my scaring has dramatically gone down. Apart from a couple of days of not wanting to go out after each treatment i definitely recommend this treatment - i've neevr seen results so quickly!

Pros Don't know yet
Cons Expensive. £250 per session - no reduction for multiple bookings
Bottom line In response to Karen, Manchester query, I also had my first session 2 weeks ago and I was worried that it only took 4 minutes.

I rang another clinic to enquire how long the actual laser treatment takes and they told me that they can only pass the laser over the skin once, so I suppose this will be right.

No difference in my skin so far, but I didn't expect any so early on.

Pros Doesn't dry out the skin like most other acne treatments, in fact it makes it look nice
Cons A bit red the day after treatment
Bottom line I did some research on acne treatments and discovered N-Lite. I went to The Private Clinic on Harley Street for my treatment ( The nurses were lovely!) and it was excellent, at first I was a bit red and doubted whether it was going to acheive the results I expected. But after my 3rd session not only myself but everyone else noticed the huge improvement in the skin, I now no longer Have to wear thick foundation and it feels great. I highly recommend this treatment.

Pros It really was the only thing that worked for me, without too much of a side affect.
Cons It's a little bit costly, but well worth it
Bottom line I had 3 treatments of N-lite and not only did my acne clear up but my skin looked glowing, the best it's ever looked ;)

Bottom line I had my first Nlite treatment today and am slightly alarmed. I was advised that the treatment would take 15 mins, but I was actually only on the table for 3 mins, at most! That seems like a very short period of time for a payment of £200! I questioned this and was told that the 15 mins they inform people about, actually inclues the chat they have with your prior to laying you down and putting the goggles on. Has anybody else, has good results, for such a short duration of time?! My next session is in 2 weeks time and I have to say that I am very dubious now! I will let you know how I get on.

Pros Very effective, and been free from breakouts for over six months after completing course of treatment.
Cons Quite expensive. Seemed to make spots worse to begin with.
Bottom line I finished a course of 6 n-lite treatments in Manchester about 7 months ago now. I was very sceptical at first, especially after the first 3 treatments seemed to make the spots worse. My skin improved dramatically after that and I've had really clear skin since. There's a visible improvement in how much younger my skin looks and the scarring is less noticible. I've since had some light peels that have really improved the darker skin marks too.

Pros It calms that acne considerably!!!
Cons Depending on how bad your acne is it may take more sessions.
Bottom line It is really good but it seems that some people are paying way over the odds for the N Lite laser. They do it in selfridges in London for about £400 for 3 sessions so i would recommend that. Don't get ripped off in Harley street.

Pros It does work
Cons Brings everything out initially
Slightly expensive but so worth it
Bottom line My experience with NLite was fantastic. I had 3 treatments spread out over 3 months. The first treatment did bring spots out, but by the 2nd treatment they were starting to clear up. I had the 2nd treatment and in a week my skin was cleared. By the 3rd treatment my skin was still spotless and it has been ever since. I know would much rather go through one period of spots, then have them constantly!

I think this treatment is definitely worth trying. I read reviews and some of the bad ones really put me off and i was nervous about going ahead. i am so glad that i did. i asked the person treating me why there might negative reviews and she pointed out that people who have had problems have been quite dark skinned and the laser can react differently on dark skin. i thought that was worthwhile pointing out if you too are reading bad reviews and getting put off.

i would definitely recommend this treatment.

Bottom line I finished my course of treatment a while ago and have to say that there is no improvement in my skin at all. I feel that I have wasted my money, and that my desperation for clear skin has been exploited. I have more spots than I had before the treatment, and they have spread to areas of my face that used to be relatively clear. I would recommend that people think very carefully before trying n-lite, as it is a lot of money for very little result. I suspect that the clinic relies on the effectiveness of the Jan Marini products that it prescribes and that the n-lite is a con. I was suspicious of the products at first as they were quite harsh, but I have recently started to use them properly and have to say that they work quite well. You might as well just buy the products and use them, as I am fairly sure that the treatment itself is of no benefit whatsoever.

Pros NONE
Cons Brought me out quickly in boils all over my cheeks where i had never had spots before i took it 7 months and no improvment it just got worse. doc put me on erothramycin to try calm it down as well as roaccutane but it didnt make a differnce.
Bottom line i became depressed and forgetful due to it messing with chemicals in your brain. it thinned my skin so all the boils scars. doc told me after scars were helped form because of thinning procces. my friend who took it got liver problems. Dont do it it destroyed my skin and my confidence
