Had 3 sesions and was told I'd have no problems, all would be great and after 3 session I would be acne free for at least 6 months. Told that it almost always works!! Went to the Private Clinic, no real assessment and absolutely no after care. So dissapointing. I wouldn't have minded the cost so much had it worked but there was no real improvement and 6 months down the line acne is worse than before.

Pros

  • Acne decreased slightly for about 2 weeks after 3 sessions

Cons

  • expensive, saw no real improvement
  • moderate
  • for a few months
  • $ 600
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

Absolute waste of money. Please, please do not get sucked in by the advertising- its a lot of money for a treatment which genuinely seems ( read forums like this and you will immediately see a greater amount of negative response) to have little effect on acne.

At least with accutane, which is by no means an ideal or risk free solution, it is more frequently effective.

Pros

  • improved fine lines on face temporarily, thats as positive as it gets!

Cons

  • did nothing to improve acne, incredibly expensive
  • moderate
  • for about a year
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

Dont do it unless you want to waste alot of your money. Its a huge disappointment!

Pros

  • quick, and painless

Cons

  • NO improvement seen at all after 6 treatments. HAlfway throgh treatments at #3 was told I need microdermabrasion which I did and still NOTHING, my face is still the same and all broken out. Not happy at all and deffenately not cheap.
  • for about a month
  • $ 1500
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I had spots since i was about 14 and nothing i used got rid of them. i have tried lotions, potions, tablets. everything!

then in 2006 i had enough. i was working as a air hostess and i was feeling very self consious about my skin so i decided to do something about it. i heard of n-lite and decided to give it a go.

the results were amazing. for the first time ever after 3 sessions i would go out without make-up on, something i had never done before.

the downside is the expense, and it doesnt last for ever. 2 years later i am going back again. in these 2 years i used proactiv which worked so well but unfortuantly brought me up in a rash on my face so i stopped using that and now have awful spots again so im going back to n-lite!

i would recomend it to everyone as it does work.

Pros

  • worked amazingly well. had perfecr clear skin afterwards

Cons

  • expensive. £170 a session
  • its doesnt clear acne forever. you need follow up sessions
  • for a few months
  • $ 450
  • I recommend using this treatment.

Ive had 'spots' for over 11 years and have tried many different treatements, creams, tablets and lotions, but very little has made a difference.

So I saw NLite advertised on a TV program and the results looked great! The patient's skin was worse than mine, but after 3 months was smooth and clear.

I had a consultation and was advised to have 3 treatments (1 a month) and 'see the results' after.

Each treatement costing 180 pounds was pretty steep but i believed it would really help!

My skin just got worse (which i was warned about) but after the 5th session, my skin was pretty good! I was told I should have more, but ofcousre!!

I left it for 2 months to see if it was healing, but they came back, big time!

I've had one more since and my skin is the worst its been in about 2 - 3 years!

I've spent almost 1000 pounds and I feel like ive wasted very penny.

Pros

  • Made my skin less oily & spots cleared at first

Cons

  • After 6 treatments, skin became worse than before having ANY treatment!
  • for a few months
  • $ 1000
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

Waste of money, time, energy. No results whatsoever, even got a couple of extra scars from the outbreak during treatment.

When I asked why it hadn't worked I was told that I needed to have more treatments (£££). Sales-pitch.

The Private Clinic, London. Oh, they also lost my consultation notes, and then relied on my memory of it, rather than reassessing. Don't know why I still went for it to be honest!

Pros

  • My skin felt sunburnt for a day or so, it felt like something had happened, which was nice.

Cons

  • Skin got worse during the course of treatment, then went back to normal, acne as before.
  • for a few months
  • $ 600
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

ive always had spots but they never really concerned me but when i turned 20 i started to get really hard big red ones on my cheeks, they were painful and really obvious. my self esteem disappeared and i didn't want to leave the house, most nights i cried myself to sleep. as a last resort i went to the nlite clinic at selfridges in london. the woman was really nice and answered all my questions as i was really dubious after reading the reviews on here. about a week after the treatment i felt like my spots were getting worse but then when two weeks passed they seemed to instantly disappear! the bumps are gone but there are still some red marks and i am using vitamin e oil to help clear those up which seems to be working. im due for a treatment next week which will be 4weeks after the first one. im going to wait a while to see if the spots come back first but at the minute i am really really happy. i would recommend the selfridges clinic as they were the most clued up and professional

Pros

  • after two weeks hard red spots disappeared skin feels smoother and more even, red marks left from spots healing. clear skin!

Cons

  • i had to wait two weeks after the treatment for any sign of improvement and spots got worse just after treatment
  • for about a month
  • $ 150
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I was in my late thirties when I had three Nlite sessions at The Private Clinic. It worked for me and so I would recommend the treatment but NOT the clinic. Unfortuantely, I agree with others,it's all about money and although they were profesional there was no aftercare or follow up, so I sent a letter of complaint, when your paying that kind of money they should at least ask for feedback! I chose NLite because Dr Chou (of The Hammersmith Hosp)recommended it and he is the best in his field. My acne/scarring cleared for a few years but seems to be back (at 44). I am checking if any other more advanced are avilable. I now go to The London Bridge Hospital clinic, a lady called Sheryl is great and honest. The peels are great and good value, they use Omnilux which I am researching. Believe me, I have also had Isologen injections(mega bucks) and so tried it all and NLite was best. Streer clear of The Cranley Clinic as they are also all about money!

Good Luck!

Sarah

Pros

  • It worked, I recommend

Cons

  • Expensive, shop around
  • $ 2400
  • I recommend using this treatment.

Had the treatment as well as using 2.5% BP once a day. 2 weeks after 1st treatment and any new spots stopped forming. After about 2 months started getting a couple of new spots and had another visit. Now still get spots but they arent bad ones and go pretty quickly. I think that its a good treatment to use along with the BP regimen just as long as you be patient and believe that it is going to work for you and dont read all of the negative reviews.

Pros

  • Helped clear skin for me and has mostly stopped new spots forming.

Cons

  • Quite expensive (but worth it) and takes a while to see any results.
  • for a few months
  • $ 600
  • I recommend using this treatment.
