had nlite amonth ago was nervous after reading all these negative comments but i had no break out after. have seen a lot a improvement but may be due to my antibiotics / topical stuff. but on balance i think it must hav done some good. think u just have to be careful to go to the right ppl - in some hospitals u can get it on the NHS.. if u go to some private clinic they're just after your money, may not really know what they'r doin!

Nina -- if you're in the West Midlands you should try the Skin Health Spa in Dorridge (near Solihull). It's £150 per session and they seem to know what they're talking about. I can't really say how well it works yet (I've only just had my 2nd treatment), but I'm hopeful! It got slightly worse at first (maybe). But apparently, it's within the next couple of weeks (i.e. 2 weeks after the 2nd treatment) I'm supposed to see some results. My parents reckon they can see an improvement, but I'm reserving judgment for now. Good luck!

I am 17 years old and have had moderate acne since i was 13. I was put on some tablets from the doctors along with a lotion called zineryt - or somethin like that!

My mom noticed the 'This Morning' item about Nlite a few weeks ago and since we have been researching its success. I was extremely impressed at first and am now willing to do anything to get rid of my spots!! When i was younger it didnt bother me as much as it does now so am willing to try anything!!

I went for a consultation at a small surgery in Brierly Hill in Dudley last night and was again impressed but cautious about going ahead with it. I was told that a course of 4/5 Nlite laser treatments alsong with a salt-dermabrasion would cost £450 per treat along with some skincare to use at home in conjunction with the laser would cost another £250 then i would be given a starter make-up kit which included a foundation and blusher specifically developed to use after thsi treatment. I was also told that to have all of this in a package the price would be £1900 approx.

I had not realised how expensive it would be, and neither had my mom!! We both asked loads of questions and came out knowing a lot more than we intended. We told her - as some of you have found - that my skin got better in sun. The lady's response was that although this is true, the sun does effectively make your acne worse due to it breaking down top layers of the skin and making you more susceptible to it when you get home again. So her advice was to stay out of the sun altogether! My mom was happy with this as she had a skin cancer a few years back and has been trying to get me to stay out of the sun since then!

I would be interested to find out which clinic Michelle from B'ham went to as i would like a second opinion on what i heard last night. I am glad i found this site as the payment for this treatment would mean sacrifices for my whole family as well as me and i dont want to rush into something that may not work!!

Will keep checking back.

Nina xxx

I have recently finished a course of N-Lite at the Private Clinic. I've suffered with my skin for years and tried every thing going so felt like this treatment was my last chance. My acne is slightly better though it definately got worse to begin with. The Private clinic has now suggested i have micro-dermabrasion but i am reluctant to spend any more money, especially as the improvement has been so minimal. I am dissapointed and also feel the service i recieved at the clinic went rapidly down hill once they'd got a considerable amount of money out of me. It's easy to put your faith in these places when your desperate for help but i would advize people to be cautious. good luck

I just wanted to update you on my skin. it has been 3 and 1/2 months since my second nlite treatment. I have no more spots on my face and havn't had any for a while. i do however have many scars on my cheeks. i am having microdermabrasion for this which has definatley improved smoothness! i also have just started to use lemon juice to reduce redness.
AGAIN i advise you to not undergo NLITE!!! I think it'll be another few months before i can go out without makeup again, so in total it will be 6 months of pure, unnessesary hell!

I have undergone 2 treatments in N-lite so far. After the first treatment the redness and tenderness around my chin area decreased but i found no difference in the breakouts on my cheeks. However, it is between the 2nd and 3rd treatment breakouts are supposed to become more under control. Coming up to the 8 weeks point, i feel my acne is a lot redder and am nervous that i may have wasted a lot of money. Yet, i am going to wait to see what happens after the 3rd treatment, as 12 weeks usually marks whether its been successful or not. I have tried antibiotics and various products so i was keen to try the N-Lite but i think people should carefully consider the success rate it has before they spend!

i had my first nlite treatment 3 weeks ago, and my skin is really bad now... i had a breakout, then it cleared a little bit, and now i have another breakout. my next nlite is next monday, and i am really not confident with nlite anymore. i went to nlite, unfortunately, before i heard any of these comments, all what i heard was magic.

Hello - I just wanted to say something positive about n-ilte. I had really bad acne to the point where I missed days off work because I couldn't face going in. I had n-lite about 4 months ago and granted it did get (a lot) worse to start with which was devastating but now I can't believe how much better it is. My face is still pinky where the spots were but the actual texture is smooth now where as before I couldn't even run my hand across it without feeling big bumps under the skin. It has definately done me the world of good and I would recommend it highly as long as you don't expect miracles. It is very pricey but I was desparate at the time enough to pay it so I don't regret spending the money now. Good luck to anyone who embarks on treatment I hope it works out for you.
