I have had 2 N lite treatments and I would advise people not to bother with it for acne. It has not made any difference to my skin except that it has made my spots slightly worse and also seems to have given me a new type of spots - tiny little pimples all down the side of my face. A friend of mine had it done but for old scars left from bad acne she had as a teenager and it did work quite well on her scars as it plumps the skin out so it looked smoother and the scars didn't look as deep. I've gone back on roaccutane which I had a couple of years ago which cleared my skin really well. I would recommend roaccutane to anyone, it really is amazing, although expensive if private and the dryness side effect is a bit of a pain but definately worth the results. Basically in regards to n lite I would say it works on old scars but does nothing for acne except may make it worse which is anyone with acne's nightmare result from a skin treatment.

I have suffered with acne for 14 years and have tried various medications (including roacccutane)to no avail. I have had the N Lite treatment on 3 occasions (only £100 in Hull, and this includes a micro dermabrasion) and it has had positive results each time. It has not 'cleared' my acne, however, it keeps it at a very manageable level (it also 'plumps' out my skin and helps reduce scarring and large open pores), i continue to get pimples but they are much smaller and tend to go quicker. I would recommend this treatment to anyone.

Ive sufferd with bad acne since being at school (about the age of 15), i was put on a pill called Dianette wich helped loads and i was so confident but due to never having a periods and being worried each month i came off and my acne came back with avengance!
I lost all self confidence and hate looking in the mirror and im 21 and want to be enjoying life!
After spending tooo much money every month on face wash's, scrub's peel's the lot i decided to go for N-lite laser treatment and had my 1st treatment 2 weeks ago. (payed for a package of 3 treatments and face peels for 450 quid!!)
well at first my face was red for a bit (oh and by the way its not exactly what id call pain-free! its a wierd sensation but its bearable!) Then the next morning my face felt clean but the skin was really peeling all around the spotty areas and made my face look worse! over the next few days my spots seemed to be coming out and drying out it looked really bad and i felt pretty down but its been 2 weeks now and ive seen an improvement, I no longer have massive spots under the skin, The existing big ones have started healing and i have only had 1 or 2 new SMALL spots come up! to be honest im pleased(my skin hasnt completly cleared obviously, but i can see it improving and its feeling a lot smoother) and cant wait for my second treatment i can feel myself actually getting some confidence back!
Paying the 450 pounds was gutting, its a lot of money BUT a small price to pay if it works.
because i dont think people can realise how depressing acne can be, Id say give it a go if you can. Maybe i'll come back in a few weeks and give an update after my second treatment.
Wish me luck :)
And good luck to all you guys and girls looking for a good enough treatment. x x

I have been having N-Lite treatments for about 2 years, roughly every 5-6 months. From the first treatment my spots cleared, and my skin stays clear. I know when I need a treatment as I start to get breakouts, which stop as soon as I have the treatment. Maybe it only works on a certain type of acne, I am 40 years old, and my acne is hormone related as I usually only get them on my chin. I'm just so happy to have found something that works, after trying everything.

I can give a positive report. it has made a difference and reduced my acne quite significantly. it obviously depends on the person and the type of acne you have (as with everything). however, it did get worse at first (as they told me) so if this happens, just keep going for treatments - it will get better and it will hopefully be worth it. i am quite happy with the results and i hope they last - i am aware that i might need to go back in years time and i would pay for it again. basically, i think everyone needs to try a bunch of things and find what works for them - also remember, few people that find great solutions will be back on this website! they will no longer have to read endless reports on treatments! good luck.

I can safely say that I would NOT recommend n-lite to my worst enemy. I've had 4 treatments (including one "free" one because even the rip-off merchants [sorry "clinic"] who administer the scam must have felt guilty it was so ineffective) spaced a month apart. I've wasted a whole lot of time (3+ months) and money (around £450) for zero results. The cost annoys me, but the wasted time annoys me more.

I've since been - finally - to a good dermatologist (who will put me on roaccutane in 8 weeks if his antibiotic attempt fails). If you want to spend money and feel like you're "doing something", I would say get a consultation with a good dermatologist and stop hoping, like I did, that the hype would actualize.

Irony of ironies: the dermatologist that I saw (at a well-know private hospital in Birmingham) is currently researching/trialing n-lite because of his doubts about the technology - and guess what? He says that neither he, nor any of his colleagues, can reproduce anything like the results claimed by the manufacturers and n-lite's figurehead academic Dr Chu. His verdict: expensive, ineffective, and damaging. Damaging because in the time people are wasting hoping the n-lite is miraculously going to start working they are becoming increasingly scarred, depressed and desperate. I can certainly relate my experience to that verdict.

Hi, Recently under went my third treatment at the London clinic. I can honestly say it is a waste of money! It's made my acne much worse then before. I was told the same as other people on this forum. "After 3 treatements your acne, should be clear", was never informed as to the possibility that it may make it worse. After my third treatment the nurse said "thats unusual, it should be getting better now" and thats it, all she suggested was to get a fourth treatment and then book an appointment with the dermatologist there. I've already spent £700 on this treatment (its more expensive if you have it done in the evening.) To see the dermatologist it costs an additional £550. I haven't got a clue now, as what to do. I'm been keeping a blog on my website, I'll will upload the link when my current treatment from the clinic is complete. Theres some photos on there too, as it stands I would pay £400 to get my skin back to the state it was in before the N-lite!

Ok, I went for my second Nlite treatment a week ago and I was dissapointed. She asked me how I thought my skin was and I said I thought it had got worse. She said 'yeh that could be it, or it could be that your skin is just not responding'. I wanted to cry right there on the spot. For starters that's £600 (for 3 treatments) and to be honest I had pinned my hopes on it (I have tried everything, roaccutane, dianette - everything!). Also, nobody at the clinic told me that it might not work! I don't know what to do! I am due my next treatment in a week. Should I have seen improvement by now?? I feel like I should sue if it doesn't work because I wasn't told!

Hi everyone
Just under gone my 2nd nlite treatment at the mancheshter clinic after 1st treatment my skin did seem to get worse and was reassured this was normal now after my 2nd treatment i can see it beginning to work, spots have started to fade as well as my scarring and have begun using simple face wash and cream to help keep my skin from becoming too oily, fingers crossed i have one treatment left so will have to write again soon! dont give up as it does seem to make things worse first but if u can live with it a little longer they do start to fade and i am happy with the results!
