I have been having treatments for 3 months now free of charge on the nhs after I was referred to hammersmith hospital and 3 weeks after the first treatment I noticed the best difference in my skin for years, however you have to be careful when touching the skin as the slightest rub can cause a nasty breakout that leaves horrible marks, so I now am having subcision in 3 months on the face. However after a couple more treatments things might get better, also my specialist says to use water based bp gel like panoxyl because it causes less iritation.

Hi everyone im 20 and have had acne since I was 11/12yrs of age i have tried all the treatments my GP can suggest, all the ones you can buy off a shelf and seen a beauty therapist. I was tempted by the laser treatment promis, but after reading these reviews it no-longer seems an attractive option. I am fed up of these expensive wonder treatments, that are exploiting our missery. Imagine if the spot treatment you are using at the moment did what it said on the bottle, well then there wouldn't be so many different products on the market and it wouldn't be a multi-million pound industry. My product of the year is the NEUTROGENA PORE REFINNING RANGE, the cleanser and the toner, however the range has been on and off shelves at Boots for a while. These products do exactly what they say on the tin!!!But is it being discontinued????who knows?????Its really frustrating when you find something that you like and it is repackaged or changed or discontinued. It was really affordable when on the shelves, around the £4.00 mark. Haven't checked Boots for a while, I have been using camomile lotion (the stuff your parents rubbed on your chicken pocks when you were little) as a face mask to dry my spots up over night, it keeps them under control.

I started the nlite treatment about 4 months ago now onto my 5th treatment which is free but only because my other 4 treatments have not worked and i'm adopting the whole you don't know until you've tried thing, i'd like to say its improved but after my 4th treatment and having been given antibiotics to prevent a flare up (for the 4th time) i'm guessing it's not going to work. I guess it works for some and it doesn't work for some. Atleast i feel better that i tried it whether or not it cost me over £1000, which is abit strange as i feel it has not improved my acne however it reduced my old scars but increased my acne which has given me new scars. good luck to those having it may u be the 90% ive been told it works for (by the man at the clinic i go to, who mentioned to me after my 4th treatment that it does not work for 10% of people, what bollox) x

i'm only 16 now and i have been having glycolic acid peels i know when you say acid it sounds awful but it isn't it's a natural acid from fruit, i have been having 70% peels but you can also have 40% peels the redness has gone a lot from my face i know my face will not clear up completely from these but on a long term basis it probably would also my skin is so much brighter and less dull after the first peel you skin is red but i wouldn't say severly and if you have the 40% to begin with it really helps stop the breakouts i can see there is a real difference and it's not to expensive if you go to the right place the 40% are £60 and the 70% are £95 but they do package deals so it comes to less than £500, when they put it on your face it doesn't sting it just feels slightly iritating and i have had no itching it you dont't have severe acne then your should definetly try this or if you just want to manage breakoutit's great! it also works on fine lines and skin damage from the sun people use it if they have pigmentation also i have found a great skin care range Md Formualtions and bare Escentuals you cant buy it in the shops but if you google it you can

I've just paid £700 for a course of 3 Nlite laser treatments at the Private Clinic in Harley Street as my skin is not severe acne but I would love to wake up and not cake my face in foundation to hide scars and red marks etc. The first of the treatments is today on my lunch break, after reading this im not so excited but more worried that my skin will break out worse! I pray it does not although they did mention this on my consultation.

Will keep u informed of the progress xLx

I walked into the 'clinic' with no spots just red marks on my face that were not clearing up. Now 2 weeks after my second n-lite & salt peal treatments and around 2 months of using there products my face is covered in spots, active and painful the type that I have not experienced for around 2 years. I did read up on this treatment I took a risk looking for a quick cure for the marking on my skin, now £1000 out of pocket and my face can only be described as discusting. If you have this treatment, treat it as a gamble and be well aware that you ance could get significantly worse.

I have had 2 N lite treatments and I would advise people not to bother with it for acne. It has not made any difference to my skin except that it has made my spots slightly worse and also seems to have given me a new type of spots - tiny little pimples all down the side of my face. A friend of mine had it done but for old scars left from bad acne she had as a teenager and it did work quite well on her scars as it plumps the skin out so it looked smoother and the scars didn't look as deep. I've gone back on roaccutane which I had a couple of years ago which cleared my skin really well. I would recommend roaccutane to anyone, it really is amazing, although expensive if private and the dryness side effect is a bit of a pain but definately worth the results. Basically in regards to n lite I would say it works on old scars but does nothing for acne except may make it worse which is anyone with acne's nightmare result from a skin treatment.
