Pros:

definite improvement in skin and scarring (and wrinkles)

Cons:

expensive, service at the Private clinic unbelievably bad

I would recommend the N-Lite treatment. I had suffered from moderate to severe acne for a couple of years and initially went for 6 sessions. The Private Clinic are hopeless and consistently cocked up my appointments. Twice booking them on the wrong day, and my average waiting time was over an hour. Plus the nurses, although very polite, always treated me like they couldn't wait to get me out the door. The whole place is hopelessly disorganised. Even when I wrote a letter of complaint I had to ring every day for three weeks to get a response - a half hearted apology only. the treatment seemed to make my skin worse the first time, then the second time the spots started to heal more quickly and left less scarring. After 6 treatments it was pretty much gone and my scars looked much better. it also got rid of some of my wrinkles. I only found it worked when they put the machine on 3.6 or more, which for most people would cause bruises. I now go once every 6 months.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Treatment is very expensive, and it doesn't work. The treatment itself is quite painful, and there is no aftercare.

In my consultation, the nurse decided I should need three treatments in total, costing £225 each. I was told the treatment would clear up the spots and calm some of the permenent redness and scarring on my face. However, it is about a month after my third and final treatment, and my skin looks and behaves exactly the same way as before I had anything done. I have spent all this money and there are no results to show for it. Its a complete waste, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I felt that the nurse at The Private Clinic wasn't very knowledgeable or helpful, and when I queried the fact that there was no improvements, or even side effects during the treatment as you're ment to get an outbreak of spots, she just kept fobbing me off with " it takes time to see any results".

Pros:

Very effective and more permanent solution than other things I've tried. Much better than antibiotics. Has improved my skin generally not just the spots.

Cons:

I have had occasional burns and blisters, but these have healed well. I got really bad breakouts following the first few treatments.

I've had quite a few n-lite treatments now. At first I wasn't convinced as it didn't seem to be working. In fact my skin seemed to be getting worse. But I'm very pleased with the results now. After 6 treatments during the last year my skin is really clear. I haven't had a breakout for more than 6 months. People have commented that my skin looks better generally really. I did some research on the web and chose the The Private Clinic in Manchester. I thought the website looked very professional and the information was excellent. Also the consultation was very good. I will definitely keep having top up treatments if it's going to keep my skin looking like this. I just feel so much more confident now, it was worth all the expense.

Pros:

At last something that works

Cons:

Slight bruising

Had tried most things. Went to skin health spa and had 4 treatments each a month apart, also a peel at the same time. Skin improved slowly but steadily. I noticed the difference more as the settings were turned up. Used jan marini products at home which are excellent. A course of treatments gave the best results, it's not cheap I can't remember exactly how much I paid in total but to have clear skin again it's worth every penny.

Pros:

the first time i've had it done, it took about 2 months before i saw any results. the results were amazing. results are good but not as good as the first time. some days, my skin is bad but it's hormonal.

Cons:

not consistant. skin is beautiful some of the time. sometimes bad. old scars are gone one day, then one day come back.

if you have the money, go for it. if not, your not missing too much. amazing results after glycolic peel. i was lucky enough to find a doctor who has special packages. i paid $1000.000 for 4 sessions, unlimited pulses.

Pros:

can't think of any

Cons:

ruined my skin

I had two treatments 3 years ago (could only afford two at the time) it totally wrecked my skin. First impression was no change and then after about a months my skin got so bad! My left side is now scared and uneven. It cost me more than lots of money, it cost me time and made my obsess about my skin. Just not worth it.
