Pros: It works and feels wonderful the very first time you use it. Smells nice. While using everyday for a short time it is very good. Cons: If you stop using this for a day or two acne comes back almost immediately. Stops working as good after a few weeks. Very expensive Bottom Line: Although it works great in the beginning this product doesn't keep skin clear, you'll be throwing away $50-$60 over and over again hoping it'll work. Pros: Spread easily over skin and had a good consistency. Cons: Irritated skin EXTREMELY. Didn't see any change in acne, except for the fact that it enflamed pre-existing acne. Smelled AWEFUL. Bottom Line: Murad's acne complex is just an expensive bar of soap, that was harsh on the skin. Recommended: No Usage: Chris has used this item for about a month. Pros: works well at first Cons: does not get rid of cystic acne does not help much with scars Bottom Line: I did not really go through the purging phase like the others. At first, I thought it was ok because it made my skin tone even and somehow lessened my acne. I was not working then so I did not have to deal with a lot of stress. When I started working, my skin got worse even if I was still on Murad. I continued it for another 3 months but I did not see any improvement. I don't really recommend this for someone who has moderate to severe acne. Pros: - their spot treatment was actually effective Cons: - ineffective overall - expensive Bottom Line: I like their bonus sulfur based spot treatment, that really was a magical tube. I dab it on a pimple and a few hours later it shrinks considerably. The other 3 products (face wash, gel, moisturizer) was completely ineffective though. It didn't do anything for my face whatsoever, didn't make it worse, or better. The ingredients weren't potent enough I guess. Recommended: No Usage: Reviewer has used this item for a few months. Pros: None Cons: I don't have too much to say because I used this for about 4 months and it didn't change my acne for better or for worse. Bottom Line: This product does nothing but what a basic bar of soap does after washing your face. I saw no improvements at all nor did it make my face worse. Pros: The cleanser is really nice. It doesn't wash away essential oils and doesn't leave your skin dry. You also don't have to use a lot to get a good lather. Cons: A bit expensive. Bottom Line: This is a very good product. I use it twice a day everyday. If you can't use it the way it needs to be used, then it isn't worth the expense. As far as the purging period goes, it was only about a week for me. This is the only product that has worked consistently for me. Pros: none Cons: PURGING! Bottom Line: im still using it for about a month and a half and if it doesnt get any better by the end of the second month, I WILL STOP USING IT. IT MADE MY SKIN WORSE THAN BEFORE!!!!! im not sure how long purging is supposed to take but for me its been about a month.. it started about two weeks after i started using the product.. i also followed the steps exactly and i just got more bumps and broke out more than usual. Pros: Worked well at first...... Cons: Stopped working all together after a few months. Used to have a lot of small pimples, now I have a few rather large ones at all times. I can handle the small ones better than the large ones!! Bottom Line: Not worth the money!!! I have tried many cheaper products from Wal-Mart and had better success than with this product and at a fraction of the price. I have been looking everywhere to try and find a product that actually works....guess I'll try another one! Recommended: No Usage: Matt has used this item for a few months. Pros: Made my skin very soft & clean! I was using a few topical creams & they worked for a couple years but suddenly stopped & I started getting these little white bumps all over my face so a friend told me about Murad & now the bumps are almost all gone! Cons: It made my skin a littel red and uneven at first & purged my skin pretty bad but it was worth it cuz my skin looks 100% better than it did before I used it :) Bottom Line: Great product! It might make your skin uneven or dry at first but if you just give it time it is amazing. Recommended: Yes Usage: Melissa has used this item for about a month.
