I've tried to be patient and have used the Murad Complex for three months. In that time, I've experienced painful, multiple cystic acne and white heads. I agree with many of the other reviewers--the acne hurt so much, I wanted to cry, even when I just put my face on my pillow. My skin improved for a little while, but the cystic acne is back. When I told my dermatologist that I was using Murad, he told me to STOP and prescribed other meds, including Duac. I should have listened to him because now I have a bunch of new scars. I would love to see this product go out of business, but those of us with acne are desperate and will try anything. Buyer beware. This product is mostly hype.

Has anyone else got lots of red blotches from this stuff? Only 4 days and I dont know if I can keep using it.

I tried this stuff a few months ago after using proactiv, it did nothing! I can't believe this is sold by a doctor. LAME products. You need something with BP. I have tried proactiv, murad and now exposed. Murad def the worst.

In January of 2005 my skin suddenly started to get worse from the added stress of school and I decided to switch from Proactiv (which I wasn't overly thrilled with) to Murad. It was the biggest mistake I've ever made in the battle against my acne. I used it from Feb. to April of that year, and like most other people who used the product, found myself with cystic acne and was breaking out all over my face as opposed to one or two localized areas.
Upon further investigation several months later, while still struggling to clear up what was left in the aftermath, I found that Murad's products contain many harsh ingredients that your skin can have a reaction to, the most surprising of which was arnica. Arnica is notorious for causing severe skin irritation and can even cause blistering. It's disgusting that a company can sell products that can severely harm your skin for such a high sum of money.

Like many others who have posted here, the Murad system made my skin much, much worse. I broke out much more frequently and in many more places than I did before. I thought that maybe it was drawing out acne that already existed below the surface so I stuck with it for a while, but after three months of terrible skin I gave up, threw the rest of it away and am now trying other methods to get rid of the aftermath of Murad. This product may work for some, but I wouldn't recommend taking the risk of making your skin worse.

This product is no better than washing your face the a good cleanser. It dosn't do anything to help clear up acne at all, and mine isn't that bad. It doesn't even have BP in it.
One of the worst products i have used.

I tried this product out since their site looked good and it said that it would not be as irritating as other products. Well, some of their products were gentle and others were not. Noen of them seemed to do much though and murad kept billing me and it was nearly impossible to get them to stop.

I am adult that had mild/moderate monthly breakouts. After my skin stopped responding to Proactiv, I decided to switch to Murad. It was more expensive(but smaller size)than proactiv; but they advertised great results. I DEEPLY regret trying it; and months later I still wonder if my skin will ever recover! You might as well wash with detergent; and in retrospect I should have known better than to trust an exfolient that works not with abrasives but with ACID that peels your skin off! And somehow despite how harsh it was I ended up with MORE ZITS! My acne spread; and now I have cystic acne that will not respond to anything. I called after 2 months & was told "it has to get worse before it gets better". I stopped at my Dr.'s orders after I had made a mess of my face & couldn't sleep thru the pain! (I ended up w/ BLISTERS) I canceled my next order; and they still sent it and BILLED me! I called to commplain and was hung up on...I had to threaten to call the BBB just to get my money back for the unauthorized order!

I tried Murad Complex for about one month. It totally destroyed my face. I used to get pimples around my mouth, but after using Murad, I have it all over my face. Do not buy this products. It tatally sucks!

Awful product. My face broke out in places it never has before. Also very expensive, I basically paid $60.00 (cleanser and toner) to get pimples. I now use Mario Badescu and really like it.
