When I started to use the Murad Acne Complex system I was looking for great results. When I started to use it for the first week nothing reallys happened, then in the second week my skin became so horrible I didn't want to leave the house. I knew the package said that this was normal but if you would have seen my face you would of stop using it like me. I am now using proactiv again and I see major results.

I have been using Murad's Acne Complex for two months now. I saw some strange results the first couple of weeks(a few of my pimples would get smaller and seem to start to go away, then get larger/painful, then back and forth). Eventually it stopped, THANK GOD!! Besides that my skin seemed to do nothing but improve up until about 2 weeks ago. I started to break out badly, and was thinking it will go away soon beacause it's "purging". I have not yet seen ANY improvement in my skin since, you have to be careful w/ the exfoliating gel because its SUPER EXTREMELY POWERFUL. If your not careful it will cause your skin to get worse. After reading most of the ratings about murad im begining to become discouraged in thinking my skin will improve. Now im not sure if I should cancel my Murad before my skin gets the worst of it or if i should stick with it a month or 2 more because I have heard before that it takes 8-12 weeks for pimples/zits to surface. Which might explain why the horrible breakouts were occuring, but who knows. I guess ill just post another rating soon to update my Murad Experience"...

today i'm giving up murad. have used it for almost 3 months. it's VERY VERY harsh on the skin. my skin was much better on proactiv and that's what i'm going back on. the funny thing is, you'd think something as strong as murad would keep the acne away, but it doesn't. it does keep the pimples from getting too big.. but dones't make them go away faster or keep them from coming. murad has kept me from breaking out in the oilier tzone areas.. but it seems like it's given me a different type of acne. i break out all along the sides of my forehead and my face and under my jawline. i think that happens because my skin has become so sensitive that if it comes into contact with anything eg hair, pillowcase, it breaks out. i think acne products work for some people and not for others. and you just have to try until you find one that works for you. between proactiv, philosophy and murad, i would rate proactiv a 4 and the other two, i'd rate 2. philosophy might be good for mild acne. it's very gentle.

This product is the worst I ever tried. It promise to clear my skin but actually made it worse. I had a minor case of acne and it made me get cystic acne. I called them and told them that it was making my skin worse but they said that that was normal. I decided to give it a month. A month was all I needed to even tried to defeat a bigger battle cystic Acne that scars. After I used this product i been getting cystic acne and the scars that are left behind. I really dont recommnend this product. It smells good and that is about it! Try benzaclin that works wonders and avoids getting scars cause unlike murad it actually kills the acne p bacteria instead of correcting the pore.

this product is not very good. first off, they suggest that using benzoyl peroxide irritates the skin, which is why they don't use it in their product. well, then why is it so successful? benzoyl peroxide creates oxygen for pores, which the skin will never become immune to. the cleanser is nice, but the gel is so drying. it's not a good substance, and just doesnt seem like it get's the job done. the lotion is fine also, but doesn't seem to help with your skin. i suggest benzoyl peroxide 2.5%, and then using a good mositurizer.

i was using acne complex for about 3 months and the whole time my skin never got better. in fact, it made my skin even worse before trying the product. i broke out in places i never broke out before. now i have scarring that's probably gonna take a long while to fade. im using acnefree now which is so much cheaper($15) and it's actually helping, my face is no longer breaking out . been on it for a week. i highly dont recomment acne complex. it's so expensive and such a waste of money(like $60).

I didnt have much luck with proactiv so i decided to try the murad system. Big Mistake. It got better for a little while, but then took a turn for the worse. It broke out my skin and then just stopped working. Dont waste your money on this sh*t.
