Yikes, from the other comments, I guess I'm lucky it only didn't work. At least it didn't make anything worse. But I used it for months and got no result. Complete waste of money.

My fiance, my family, my co-workers and I cannot believe what a mess Acne Complex has made of my face. I went from the occasional breakout and clogged pore to a nightmare on my face. I refuse to go out of the house other than to work and I sit at work and count the minutes until I can go back home. I have cancelled social events because I refuse to show up with my face looking the way it does. I gave the product four weeks and it just kept getting worse and worse each week. After a month, I am at the point where I can't go on anymore and sit in my bed an cry because my face hurts so bad and I know how bad it actually looks. After reading these reviews, it is clear that I need to stop the product and return to what I was using previously...I would switch up from ProActive and Acne Free - same basic steps using BP, but Acne Free is a lot less cheaper and available at my local drugstore. I can't wait to get my normal skin back!

Unfortunately I have more bad things to say about this product. I had a relatively clear face, but then got a mild breakout on one side of my face over Christmas break. Panicking, I ordered Murad off the internet to clear me up before school started again. It stayed calm the first week, and by the third week it looked like it was clearing up. Suddenly on the fourth week I began breaking out with huge cysts on the side of my face, and had acne all over. So embarrassed! Ive never had any kind of severe acne problems! Now Im forced to live a life that is constantly controlled by my acne. Im breaking down and going to the derm next week. I got off Murad, on vitamins and natural products and my face has started to slowly improve(way better than the Murad crap) but the cystic areas left over from the product are still acne hotbeds on my face....hopefully I will get better soon!

I want to defend this product. While I don't use the 3 part system, I do use the acne cleanser and toner. I use it with a soft facial brush and softly cleanse my face. It worked well enough for me. It's quite gentle to the skin and if used on a consistent basis, it will work. There's no miracle product, there's just a determination to get skin in shape, that gets you to remember that you need to wash your face 3 times a day.

I to stupidly used murad and it gave me the worst acne i have ever had. Infact, it got so bad to the point that i had to go on anitbiotics again. Dont try this. please dont its not like a couple of pimples worse it like makes it severe! As for the paine, which is horrible i know, but i have discovered tylenol makes it go away! yes! My antibiotics soothe the inflammation and hurt by themselves but when im not taking them i take some tylenol rapid release gel caps and they work really well. For those of you that your face hurts, use tylenol! AND STAY AWAY FORM MURAD!

ITS O.K. to try, but do Not believe the commercials. It is not the answer. The cleanser is the worst on the market. You might as well use diswashing detergent. That's what I think he put in there. Only the acne tratment gel - lotion is decent. Buy 2.00$ noxema insted.

After reading some reviews, I would like to make a suggestion to whoever didn't like the Murad Acne Complex which is to use it for longer. I see people are giving up on it after a week but like normal acne medications, it makes your skin worse at first but eventually makes it better... MUCH better. Acne won't disappear overnight (much to my disliking) but Murad products definetly help!! I especially LOVE the murad acne cleanser. It's so soothing and refreshing and makes your face feel so fresh after.

OH MY GOD. I thought it was only my imagination that was telling me that this Murad stuff was making things worse. After reading all the ratings, I realize how I am almost hearing people describe my very situation. I too have suffered with acne for years. Ive tried everything short of Accutane. Proactive seemed to work but just stopped after a while. I have given them 4 tries and no more results. I had been actually clearing up lately using just over the counter products such as the Noxema Triclosan cleanser, AcneFree Benzoyl Peroxide and Salcylic acid spot treatment gel, and Mederma for the scars. All pretty cheap compared to some other stuff. Then I decided I wanted faster and better results and saw the Murad infomercial. I actually bought it at Ulta a beauty products store for $60 and some odd dollars. Then the nightmare began...
I have never in my life (I am 26) had such severe acne. That includes the age of 15 and after my divorce, when I thought I had it pretty bad. Nothing compared to this horror. Just like what someone else said, I can not even place my face on a pillow because the acne hurts so much. I can't bear to even think of when its time to wash my face because I know the pain that goes along with it. I have developed SEVERE cyctic acne and tens of whiteheads also along my jawline, cheeks, and neck...just like everybody else. After reading this, it seems too much to be a coincidence. I have horrid sleepless nights searching the net for an answer. Thank god I use BareMinerals as makeup because I could not bare to touch it with my hands or a even a finger. A few days ago, I just ordered the Exposed Skin Care system... and im so scared to use it. Especially after reading the mixed ratings on it also. I can not bare this acne getting any worse. I can't believe I just read dan's regimen. I think I will try it before I use the Exposed stuff. I should be happy I have overall health and life, but acne sufferers agree that this feels like the worst punishment of all; physically, mentally, and emotionally. Im hoping Dan's regimen works... oh, and in case it wasn't clear enough, MURAD IS CRAP. Do not waste your money on it, and if you have started using it, BEWARE!!!

This has turned my skin into a mess. Now I am getting large painful pimples that I never had before on places like my jaw and on my cheeks that used to be fairly clear. I hate it
