| Bottom line | I am convinced this product doesn't work on sensitive skin. I used it lightly as the package said and then increased over time. I had a light breakout and after a few days I had 3 times as many bumps - and they were large and painful. I used the spot treatment which made them blistery and has taken over two weeks for them to heal. Normally I would get one or two of these type a month and it would be about a 5 day healing cycle. I had to stop using it because I was afraid the purging process would never end and I am too busy with work to wait for this embarrassing time to end! I also noticed that my eyes look very swollen - similar to how they look when I have allergies. It is just too harsh for anyone with sensitive skin! Don't believe the commericials! What is really strange is that I keep reading great reviews until I found this site where everyone is having the same problems I have! |

| Bottom line | I would never recommend this product to anyone, it has made the last few months of my life hell. My skin is disgusting thanks to the acne complex, i used to get the occasional breakout just like everyone else so i thought i would give this a try to keep everything clear all the time, and was horrifid when my skin starting breaking out everywhere, in random places i have never even had a zit before..i stopped using it well over a month ago and my skin has still not gone back to normal...DO NOT TRY THIS PRODUCT! i wonder how they are even aloud to sell something this destructive!!!!!!!!! It basically gives you the opposite of everything it promises! |

| Cons | Where to start? Basically what everyone else has said here-horrible breakouts. I've been using this since mid March and for exactly 3 weeks I have had breakouts everyday. Not just one or two but clusters. I do not go anywhere but work. |
| Bottom line | This doesn't work. I should of stayed with Pro-Active. Also, will someone please explain why the starter kit doesn't come with toner? I had to buy it separately. Of the three items in the kit, the directions's state "after toning" yet no toner. More wasted money. |

| Cons | it makes you breakout. The company calls it the "purging process. Contacting them won't help they will tell the same things over and over again. the gel in the system stings and leaves your acne bright red, and the lotion does not help |
| Bottom line | Before I used this product I had light acne on the left side of my forehead, and 3 to 5 blemishes on the far side of both my cheeks. When I used this the first week, it made my skin desert dry, I didn't want to move my face because of it. So I called Murad, and they told I was using too much, so I used less, and my face felt like it ripped when I ate or talked. So I used the cleanser and put on my face for half an hour, and the dryness stopped. Week two it cleared my face completely. Then week three I breakout all over my face. It itched, my face was soar. and my blemishes where bright red. I called again. They said I was going through the porging process. It's where the build up under your skin come to the surface. So a few more weeks went by and the puffiness and itchiness went away. Now my face is in whitehead misery. I have nothing but red blemishes and whiteheads. Never use this because if you do go through the purging process, Murad isn't going to care. |

| Cons | It made my skin break out worse than ever before. I have oily skin in the forehead area and this product did nothing to control the shine on my forehead. Proactive controlled my acne and the shine, but was too harsh.Murad was milder but didn't work. |
