Pros: it made my skin really clear for a couple of weeks my skin looked amazing Cons: but then that ended and my skin got worse then it ever has i started getting cysts all over my face scars from exsisting acne it made my face shiny and oily Bottom Line: for 60 dollars a month it is not worth it Recommended: No Price Paid: 60.00 Acne severity: moderate Was this comment helpful? Pros: Smells nice & seems to be working decently for me, so far. Cons: My skin isn't completely clear, but I don't really expect that, as acne is hormonal. And it makes my face a bit itchy when I apply it! Bottom Line: So far it is working well for me. My overall skin tone and texture looks MUCH better. I still have zits, but they are not as bad as before. They are more on the surface now. These other reviews are making me second guess it a bit...I wonder if the other reviewers are using it properly? I use it twice a day and I also finish with the moisturizer. I never really went through the "horrible" purging process either. Overall I am really liking it. Anyone who doesn't have moderate to severe acne would most likely experience some pretty nasty purging effects, as this is a strong product. If they didn't have bad acne before, they would probably have it after using this product. Recommended: Yes Usage: katie has used this item for about a month. Pros: Great scent and the steps are easy to follow Cons: adverse effects happened to my skin. i broke out worse than before. there is no scrub beads in the facewash. Bottom Line: This product made me have painful breakouts that were worse than what I had before. NOT RECOMMENDED! Recommended: No Usage: Michelle has used this item for about a month. Pros: The wash feels good to the skin, like it's working.... BUT ITS NOT Cons: Made me break out like i have never in my life before experienced. I am still feeling the affects of it and looking to use Carley's clear and smooth to see if it can fix the DAMAGE MURAD has done to my face. Bottom Line: Before purchasing Murad my face wasn't in need of any drastic change i had a few head bumps that i wanted to take care of and in general a face wash i can use to maintain my face. I used Murad for 7 months and didn't improve not even a lil my face broke out in huge pimples and NEVER BEFORE had this happened to me. Pros: smells okay, feels like it's working. The first week I think it DID make my skin better, but it didn't last for long. Cons: After a week I had more zits than I ever have before and now I have scars from them. It doesn't get better after 3 weeks of "purging", it gets bad and I saw no improvement. Bottom Line: My friend told me she was using this and to give it a try. Like I said it got bad quickly, but I stayed on it because she would ask about it and kept telling me to push through, it'll get better, but after about 5 weeks with no improvement, I sent it back and got my money back, minus the $15 shipping!! >:| Anyways, I see her often and she still gets acne, even though she likes the product she still has it and she's been on it for a year, at least. don't waste your time, get on Accutane or some other pill. To get rid of your acne you need something working from the inside as well as the outside. BEST OF LUCK! :) Recommended: No Usage: Lindsey has used this item for a few months. Pros: None, the first step sooth's my skin but that's about it. Cons: Doesn't work, i've used it for 3 weeks and have see if any to no results. i don't think it works at all, people always say give it time give it time. well i would think by third week it would have been better or i have seen results but i haven't. Pros: Smells nice Cons: My face exploded Bottom Line: Not worth it. I used it for about 2 weeks and kept telling myself it's gotta get worse before it gets better. Pros: None. Cons: -It purged my skin aka more skin breakouts. Bottom Line: I tried and purchased the whole Murad Acne Kit, which is 4 pieces. I had gorgeous Gabrielle Union skin until around 19 years old. My skin at that time, randomly breaking out. Because I have been diagnosed with hormonal acne, my skin one minute is clear, then just breaks out. So, I can't say if it is moderate or light. Def. not severe though. I bought this kit because their infomercial stated how gentle it was compared to Proactiv. But within a short period of using this, my pimples became cluster-Cysts on both sides of my face. After my skin healed, I was left with really ugly acne hyperpigmentation on both sides of my face. It looked awful and took months to disappear. As a woman of color, I can't afford to purge, as once the breakout heals, I get hyperpigmentation. I think this is the worst product I tried. Pros: Cleanser seems to cleanse well. Takes time. Be patient. Cons: Takes a really really really long time to work. But i think it works. Bottom Line: Well I'm African American. Bottom line is when i got this product it made me break out even worse. All over. It really sucked and was very uncool. This product works product but not in 4 weeks. Not for me atleast. It took me about 4 months until my skin was completely clear. I had only 1 or two pimples and they would stay small and go away fast. I stopped using this product because i read some GREAT reviews on how applying lemon juice on your face WORKS WELL AGAINST ACNE. I was skeptical but I went for it and tried the lemon. I've been using lemon for a month now and i think it's working very well. i've had two pimples in one month and they were fairly small. Try the lemon. I highly recommend it people. I still have my last shipment of murad acne complex that i have not opened yet. If the lemon does not work i'll definitely go back to murad. Murad works very very very slow but i think if you're patient it will work. Your skin just has to get used to it. Recommended: Yes Usage: African has used this item for a few months. Pros: it works really well , the product smells really good Cons: the purging proccess sucks it last's about a week and this is were you break out like crazy Bottom Line: you have to use it morning & night as it tells you too in order to work .. the purging process sucks but it only lasts 1 week and qafter that your skin will start healing . im in my 3rd week now and im so happy with the results!!
