Pros: Quick results! You can feel it work and leaves skin soft and smooth. Also, you just feel like your face cant get any clearer. Pores are shrinking. I love it! Absolutely no skin drying/irritation like with Pro Active! Cons: You may need a separate moisturizer for after the exfoliation. Bottom Line: I'm on my second month [when they send you the big bottles] and I haven't had my skin this clear since before I had acne..about 6 years ago. I feel sooo good about myself now and didn't even know this skin was possible. I did not go through any purging period btw which was lucky. -The cleanser is really tingly, which I love. It reassures that it is working when you can feel it in your pores. -The Exfoliating gel dries pretty quickly and then you put on the lotion, which I don't believe has any acne benefits in it. Its just to calm the skin. So you can use any other gentle face moisturizer. Be sure to do the routine everyday morning and night. The improvements really motivated me to stay on top of it. If I do see a breakout coming up [which I have only had two], I dab the spot treatment on and at night, dab some of the mask on and forget about it in 2 days. -Its sooo worth the price and im so glad I ordered this stuff. Pros: nothing Cons: it doesnt work Bottom Line: makes your skin worse. 4 weeks is an absolute lie; its been 3 monthes and no improvement has been made. Pros: My face feels clean and is much clearer. Cons: Skin is too dry after using it. I have to use additional lotion. Bottom Line: I had a spotless complection until I was about 20. I tried the regular stuff you buy from the drug store, went to a dermatologist (which made me a wreck) and then decided to try Murad. It worked wonders. I think they changed the scent. It used to smell funny, but now it doesn't. I stopped using it when I was pregnant because my face stayed clear both times. I had to start again afterward though. In between I tried Proavtive, cause uit was more affordable. It did nothing for me. I started Murad again and sure enough, it worked and continues to work. Pros: Absolutely Nothing. Cons: Well just about everything. Smell is very medicinal and not at all nice. Extremely dry and tight skin.Flaking. Breakouts increased by 10000000000000%. Bottom Line: My face skin was dry every every day all the time and the pain was unbearable. Skin started flaking only a few days after use and even opening my mouth to speak was a chore because of how tight and dry my skin was. Please do yourself a favour and DO NOT buy this product. As for the purging process many people mention it doesnt last for 2 weeks, it lasts FOREVER and it WILL last forever. This thing ruined my skin! Pros: Cleared my skin pretty quickly. Left my skin feeling fresh. Cons: You do go through a period of purging for about a week and a half to two weeks.. It's normal though, so don't give up. The lotion does not work very well. Bottom Line: My skin cleared and I bought some everyday lotion for my face and it was very worth it. Pros: everything Cons: small bottles Bottom Line: it worked great for me. i had TERRIBLE skin, and sensitive too. the stuff the dermatologist gave me dried my skin out like crazy, and then using the murad. it all went away. i still get a pimple or 2 but they are nothing compared to what it used to be. i love it i will use it as long as i can afford it. clear skin is wayy better and totally worth the price. next stop, getting rid of the scars. =] Recommended: Yes Usage: Caitlyn has used this item for about a month. Pros: It makes your face feel very smooth. It eventually starts to reduce your acne scarring. Easy to use! Cons: Too expensive Purge was a bad one Too small Bottom Line: Be ready for the purging, but it will get better and I recommend it to anyone with very bad acne, not normal skin. Pros: Smells good, cleared my skin for a minute Cons: Made breakouts worse (especially in my t-zone, my forehead is completely JACKED UP!!) I've had breakouts where I never had them before. Bottom Line: I'm sitting here watching the infomercial for Murad and I am ticked. I was fooled into believing the hype and now looking at the people (u know the ones that aren't paid actors) in ad it is obvious they are wearing make-up. I am African-American and the acne that Murad left behind has left dark scars. My Aunt told me that back in the 90s she tried it while in college and had a horrible experience (wish she could've gave me a heads up). I gave it 3 months because I didn't want to give up on it but the breakouts just got out of control. From what I've read it seems like it works the first two weeks (skin was great) then it's downhill from there. While I was using it my boyfriend asked me "I thought u were going to try that Murad stuff" and when I told him I was already using it he was shocked. I am returning to Proactiv (don't know why I stopped to begin with). I won't say not to use it because everyone's skin is different but I thought I should share my experience. Pros: after a wash, your face is tingly and feels minty fresh and clean. i love that feeling. Cons: well where do i start? dried skin, not enough repair lotion, major and severe breakouts, flaky skin Bottom Line: i started out with a few pimples here and there, for some odd reason i felt like switching to Murad. bad idea. this is why i'm here, and how i got my severe acne. it was all over. don't buy this.
