| Cons | Everything!! |
| Bottom line | This is the worst treatment i have ever used. I have been using this treatment for almost 3 months, for the first couple of weeks my skin cleared up, but then... i started breaking out like crazy, all over my face, and my skin started flaking (peeling off) the gel burned and made my skin extremely dry, itchy and sore, the moisturiser is not hydrating, i have stopped using murad and hopethat my skin will recover it is dull, dry and still very itchy!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!! If you are like me and still buy these product after reading these terrible products DON'T it will ruin your skin!!! I guess the search for a wonder acne treatment continues!!....because this most definately is not! |

| Pros | *Works well, yet is gentle *Clears & gets rid of hyperpigmentation *Smoothes and Soothes *Natural Ingredients *Multiple anti-acne ingredients |
|---|---|
| Cons | *Sort of expensive *Run out of exfoliating gel before other products *Spot treatment isn't very effective |
| Bottom line | I have used these products for years and I like it a lot. The cleanser lathers up great and smells good; the gel fades post-marks, clears skin, absorbs well, doesn't feel greasy, and curbs oil production; lotion absorbs well, moisturizes effectively, and doesn't feel greasy; spot treatment - I don't use it because I don't think it works. Instead I substitute Bye Bye Blemish Spot Treatment (the stuff in the little glass bottle), which has the same active ingredient as Murad Spot Treatment (sulfur) but at a much higher percentage. So, over all I like the Murad Anti-Acne line with the exception of the spot treatment. |

| Pros | It worked 4 me INSTANTLY! Better than Proactiv. Like the infomercial says! Made skin feel very smooth after 1st use and noticed a difference of clearer skin within 1 day! Only used the 3 steps and its changed my apperance. The spot tx seems to work very well overnight too. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Gel does burn at first. Toner does too, so no longer use the toner. It reminds me of rubbing alcohol on my skin. But the cleanser and gel seem to do the trick. Now waiting for old scarring to fade but have clear smooth skin now. |
| Bottom line | Highly recommended! Nothing esle worked, especially this fast before! Wish i would have tried it sooner instead of listening to negative reviews. Im glad I found something without BP in the product because this is whats working for me. And only paid $29.99 online 4 intial shipment. Or now they have a $33 kit at Sephora that i buy instead of waiting on shipping! This price is very good considering that Proactiv used to be $49.99 before all the generic brands hit the market like Clean n Clear and all the other products i tried from the store! |

| Pros | The cleanser was nice and makes my skin feel smooth and fresh. The gel seems to work at first. The lotion was not greasy and feels light. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Did not work as advertised. |
| Bottom line | After using this kit for a year, I did not notice any difference. In fact, my acne has gotten worse. Even though when you initially put on the gel, your face will feel tingly, but then my skin started to itch. I also used the sulfur treatment that came with the kit. It supposedly is supposed to get rid of inflammation. However, it just stinks up my face and didn't reduce any redness at all. Overall, I would not recommend this product. It's too expensive and it does not seem to work for my moderate to severe acne. |

| Pros | Smells Good Cleared Chin Area Easy to use |
|---|---|
| Cons | Very costly and not worth it Glycolic Acid (second step) burns Purging is horrable Claim of clear skin in four weeks is not true |
| Bottom line | Murad Acne Complex has a very convincing TV commercial and products that claim that 92% of users have reduction in acne in 3 days and clear skin in 4 weeks. First the kit itself is very expensive and does not tell you all of the instructions listed. The exfoliating gel is very strong and should only be used once a day for two weeks. EVEN with that it still burns and irratates skin (which it claims its not supposed to) I found that the kit only made my acne worse and the purging is not very pleasent to go through. The Salicilic acid tingles and feels ok but the bottom line is that this is a waste of time and money and you should NOT invest in this product. |

| Pros | Seemed to clear my forehead Smelled nice All natural |
|---|---|
| Cons | Made my jawline and chin breakout when it never had before Tons of little black/whiteheads on my chest Inflamed my boyfriend's acne, too. Exfoliating gel burns HORRIBLY |
| Bottom line | When I started using it, I read everything they sent me; pamphlets, everything. I followed the routine carefully, right down to exact measurements. It said that during the "purging" stage, my acne would flare up. They were right. I have horrible break outs all along my jawline now, which used to be crystal clear. Also around my mouth. After it all ran out (which was in less than four weeks, and they didn't send another for two months), i went back to the clean and clear kit. My jaw is still covered in blackheads, but the clean and clear dramatically cleared my chest, forehead and T-zone. Bottom line; don't waste the 70 some dollars on this. Buy the clean and clear kit; it's only 17 dollars. |

| Pros | attractive price exfoliating tingles so it appears to work |
|---|---|
| Cons | eyes got swollen skin became red and irritated increase in breakouts on jawline and neck moisturizer smells bad and doesn't hydrate |
| Bottom line | My face was getting much better with PCP's prescription of : Tretinoin. I was getting compliments about my face clearing up. But then I saw the tv advertisement on Murad making the skin look shiny, with the whole kit which i use Cellex-C brands (very expensive but works fabulous). I was tempted to buy something more affordable that has great results. Was I wrong. Even though I kept all the products away from my eyes, the first night i work up in fear that my eyelids were swollen. you can just feel it. I thought i would just keep using it because my skin had to get use to it - well my colleagues noticed my face and eyes swollen and I started to get new pimples/scars below my jawline. NO WAY! I I have decided to stop using it and return it asap!!! I am taking two days off - and then returning to my prescribed medication (tretinoin) and expensive Cellex-C (cleanser, toner, moisturizer) that actually works - no matter the price!! |

| Cons | Sore, dry skin. Extreme flaking. Taught pink skin. Swollen face. |
| Bottom line | I used this product as I hadn't read any reviews (I really wish I had). After just one days use my face had swollen up, I could barely see out of my eyes and I looked as if I had been beaten by a professional boxer. I was put on medication by my doctor that left my house bound for three days. My skin is still hyper-sensitive and peeling after 10 days. Not a pleasant experience. |

| Pros | worked for the first week |

| Cons | deceived me,i used for 4 MONTHS!!! hoping that the "increased breakouts" would go away....well here i am after almost $150 and i have MORE acne than the day i started. unbelievable that i waited so damn long to change products. now im using oxy and yes it makes my sensitive skin a tad dry but after 1 night it looks better than it ever did using murad. |

| Cons | Cleared my skin for the first 2 weeks I used it, but then after a month it made my skin much much worse than it was before. |
| Bottom line | After a month of using this product, it made my skin worse than it has ever been. I thought I should keep going with it, to see if it would eventually clear my skin up in the long run but my face just kept getting worse. I got zits in new places where I never had them before, and my chin broke out worse than ever. I'm still working on getting my skin back to normal. |
