Pros: nothing Cons: Terrible Bottom Line: Wow i have never been so disappointed in a product than this one. I bought the cleanser and its been 1 week that i've been using it, im breaking out badly and with the cystic type of Acne. Its expensive and a waste of money. I have found another product that works wonderful for my skin. Its called ZENMED, for those looking for a new product, try this. My skin is doing great with it. Your skin does not undergo this 'purging process' like Murad says as an excuse for the breakouts that occur while using their product, and i researched more regarding this 'purging process' and it should not be as bad as what i went through while using their product. this product sucks Recommended: No Was this comment helpful? Pros: As far as i'm concerned this product has no pros. Cons: My face broke out so bad all over. It was so painful. I kept waiting for it to get better but it never did. Bottom Line: I had moderate to medium acne when I came across Murad products. within a few days os using it my face started to break out in a massive way. I did some research and found out that this is the purging process and my skin will get better after 6 weeks. 6 weeks later and my skin was so bad I was embaressed to go out. no amount of make up could cover it. Finally after 8 weeks and no result I stopped. One months and several other products later my skin still has no cleared. The acne that was caused by this product seems not to heal! it keeps coming back on my cheeks, chin and jaw line. This is by far the worst acne treatment product I have ever used. Pros: It worked the first month Cons: It stopped working after a month of use and my face broke out worse than before i started and in big pimples. Pros: I don't really mind the smell as much as other people i guess and i really like the face wash and moistureizer. Cons: Making me break out more and not really doing much of anything else for my skin so far. Bottom Line: I've been using these products for alomost 2 weeks now and before I started using it I had severe acne all over my cheeks and some on my chin, but not so much on my forehead and my face was red all over. After a little less than a week my face started getting worse now I have a ton of little pimples all over my jawline. They hurt really bad and they are making my jawline really red. It actually hurts just to touch my face so you can imagine what it is like to wash it. I read the little booklets and went on the website and it says it is the purging process, and that it is completly normal and it will go away soon, but I also read reviews on the internet about people who have used it for 6 weeks or longer and the bad acne that acne complex has caused still never went away. hopefully this is just purging and it will go away but with the luck i've had with acne products it doesn't seem likly. Bottom Line: Didnt have "terrible acne" to start , just wanted to get rid of some black heads & a few pimples. Used product for 1st 2 weeks, seemed to work, then as if overnight I HAD THE WORST ACNE IN MY LIFE ! Heard about the " purging " thing , stuck with it, I had terrible sore bumps that lasted for days & weeks . Used it faithfully for 4 months & finally got fed up being a 40 yr old " zit face ". I was embarassed my face looked like a war zone , talk about embarassing. Went to a local store bought spent about 10 bucks on oxy wash & cleansing pads and my skin had improved immediately, although I am still dealing with the old zit marks that hopefully with fade . Pros: none Cons: I cleared up for about 4 days then broke out worse than i have ever done before. After about 3 weeks i had to quit because my skin was the worst it has been in my life. Bottom Line: Stay far away from this product. It is just another infomercial scam. They promise you clear, beautiful skin and give you the exact opposite. I would never have used this stuff if i knew what it was going to do to me. I was extremely disapointed and am still recovering. Thank god its mostly gone now. Pros: i've used this product for a week and im freaking out. im breaking out like i've never before! i used proactive for a while but still got the occasional zit so i decided i wanted "completely clear" skin and gave murad a try. Pros: This is an amazing product. I have struggled with terrible acne for most of my life. I have tried everything under the sun. A friend told me about Murad so I thought why not it's worth a try. This product has changed my life is so many ways. Cons: Waiting for it to start working. Going through your acne having to get worse for it to get better, but it was well worth the WAIT!!! Bottom Line: Anyone who has bad acne of any kind try this product you will be so happy with the end results. My family tells me I seem so much happier now that my acne is clear. Pros: Reduces inflamation of pimples the very next day Makes skin feel smoother Cons: Slightly expensive Bottom Line: If you've tried Proactiv and it didn't work for you, I would definitely suggest giving Murad a try. I used Proactiv consistently for about a year, and saw absolutely no improvement. (In fact, I think Proactiv actually worsened my skin. Benzoyl Peroxide is an extremely strong ingredient and can actually aggravate the skin, causing you to get more breakouts). I then switched to Murad and saw a dramatic improvement in about 3 days! The exfoliating gel combined with the spot treatment really helps to reduce the inflamation of pimples and they are much smaller the next day. I think that each persons skin is different, so while some peoples skin may respond to Proactiv, the salicylic acid in Murad may be more suitable for others.
