Pros: Much lighter periods, shockingly lighter. Possibly some clear up in acne. Cons: Still same symptoms: moody, irritable, bloating, sensitive-emotional (but this has been with all pills I have tried). Also, I get my period on different days. Where as with other pills I have always gotten it on the same day of the week, time ofday Bottom Line: I like it. I don't have any less libido... Pros: Cramping is rare, which is a huge benefit for me. My skin cleared up nicely, not entirely, but it looked like I was glowing. Wonderful. Much less oil. Cons: NO sex drive, whatsoever. I was SO dry that my boyfriend actually tore me. Headaches if I didn't take it on time. General moodiness; I felt like I wasn't myself. Wasn't useful in clearing all those annoying blackheads or clogged pores. Bottom Line: This product is extremely useful to clear up skin, as are most BC's for me. It's different for everyone, though. It created quite a problem for me during sex. I don't have much of a sex drive to begin with, and this made me so unresponsive that I literally tore every time I had sex. Extremely painful, and why I discontinued use. But of course, now I want back on it or some other form considering my face looks like a war-zone. Pros: Shorter periods, less painful cramps, highly affordable, haven't gotten pregnant, very small pill size. Cons: The timeline for my period is not sometimes a bit inconsistent. It may start 4 days into the placebo pills or maybe 1. Sort of annoying but not horrible. Bottom Line: I love this pill! I haven't had any negative experiances with it and everything has been going well. I know planned parenthood doesn't carry it which is kind of a bummer but i get it for free from my women's health center as a "sample". I never really have had bad acne so I can't speak on that but before it I was on lutera and it gave me horrible acne! Also, i've tried the depo shot and it took away all of my sex drive. I haven't noticed any weight or libido changes while on mircette (which has been an issue with me in the past) and i have only good things to say about it. Pros: Not pregnant Cons: weight gain, some moodiness Bottom Line: This product wasnt as bas as some others Ive taken. I did notice though if I didnt take it the same time everyday, say later than usual i would get a migrain. But definitely not as many side effects as cyclessa. Bottom Line: With Kariva (generic Mircette) I had no acne problems. I had the occasional pimples but no major breakouts. However, my libido seemed to get lower and lower over time and I was dryer down there. After over a year of frustration with having sex hurt because of being dry/not in the mood, I decided to go off kariva to see if that was the problem. And my libido and lubrication came back full swing. However, since starting a new bc, femcon fe, I am breaking out a lot on my back and jawline. Pros: Periods are much easier to deal with. The price is great. Great for endometriosis. I have no major problems with acne. Cons: Bloating, Headaches, Nausia, low libido, sore breasts Bottom Line: I started this for severe abdominal pain and it works. Sometimes the cons are worse than the pain and sometimes they aren't. Pros: "Regular" periods that are relatively non-painful. Not having to change ultra/super tampons every 15 minutes due to a heavy flow was wonderful! My acne got to the point of being almost non existent. Cons: Since stopping the pills in December of 2004, I have only had my period twice (April of 2005, and July of 2007). I've also started growing thick, almost "eyelash" looking hairs on my chin and neck. Its pretty gross. Bottom Line: I wouldn't take them again. The cons far outweigh the pros (at least for me). Pros: Affordable and effective Cons: My perfect complexion is now GONE and I have horrible acne! Bottom Line: I have been on this pill for 2 months and my skin is now horrible! I used to have a near perfect complexion. I haven't noticed any difference in my weight as mentioned by others. I usually have horrible moodswings with all other birth control, but haven't with this one. That is the only positive thing I can say about this pill. I am going to switch back to Aleese which used to give me a flawless complexion and took away all PMS symptoms. Recommended: No Usage: Reviewer has used this item for a few months. Pros: regular periods Cons: HORRIBLE ACNE.....my face has never looked worse due to this pill....BOO!!!!! Bottom Line: good luck with this...I wouldn't reccomend it.
