I took minocycline last year (100mg)a day, for about 3 months... it gave me a stomache ache and the sh*ts but it really cleared up my acne.

I took minocycline in the form of 90mg Solodyn for about 2 weeks. The headaches were so bad (and lasted all day) that I stopped taking it. Here I am nearly 4 weeks later, and the headaches persist. I'm going to see the doctor this week about them. The only advice I can offer is to stop the medication quickly if you notice headache/dizziness.

Check out Solodyn, a 90mg dose of Minocycline that you only have to take once and it's extended release so it is so much easier to work with. I've been on everrryyy med and Solodyn has been the best antibiotic for me in 10 years. Good luck!

I started taking this pill four weeks ago when my derm. prescribed it to me. I haven't seen much of an improvement, but that is most likely because it takes 6-8 weeks to start working. The only side-effect that I have noticed is that since the second week, I've felt sick. My throat is constantly ichy and my nose is running non-stop. Although I can't reasonably blame it on the pills because I really have no way of telling, but I am quite positive that it IS the minocycline that is making me feel this way. I am going to give it another two weeks, and if I'm still feeling sick, I'm going to discontinue them.

I am going into my third week on minocin and I will stop taking it as of today. I have been experiencing severe headaches, diziness and feel like I have been coming down with a cold the last couple days (tired, achiness and sore throat). I actually backed into the parking deck at work yesterday because my depth perception is so off due to the diziness. My face is flawless but not worth feeling like this. Hopefully my doc will call me back today with a solution. Pretty scary though that this med has such side-effects on my body.

I've been taking Minocycline for 4 months and am reasonably happy with it. I'm 32 and have had acne since my teens. It's much less harsh than roaccutane and unlike tetracycline it doesn't make me feel sick. I still get the odd outbreak but nothing like before

I took Minocycline for about 3 weeks, one day I started to break out in hives, my hands and lips got swollen and my gums stated to bleed. It was complete torture. I recommend asking your close relatives about their tolerance to Antibiotics before trying any new drugs.

Heya Ive been on mino tablets (50 grams, twice daily) for about 2 months now. Noticed a HUGE differnece, in a good way. Never get any spots anymore...(well maybe about one a week but nothing compared to what i used to get), and the reddiness of my skin has inproved a LOT!!! Havent noticed any extra senstivity to the sun, but its winter over here so I havent had much chance too! Umm I normally take it with yogurt in the morning, which is dairy...But on this it says not to take it with dairy...0_o.

Nevermind, it worked for me! Oh and it only costs about $12 for a months worth...which is cheap AS!!!
