I have now been Minocycline for about 1 1/2 months....NO significate difference. I'm disappointed that I have yet to see results but want to continue because I know it may be 3 months before I see a change, but these headaches and as someone else described it as "getting the flu" feeling. I feel sick to my stomach at times and have a headache everyday! My doc advised me to stick with it but now, take it with food. It has helped a bit with the headaches, but still no affect to my skin! I have what I believe is peroial dermatitis...adult acne, who knows for sure....ANYway..thX...I'll give it another month or so.....

I was prescribed minocycline for perioral dermatitis. By the third day I was so dizzy I couldn't walk straight. My blood pressure was 180/110. I went off it immediately.

So I've been using minnocycline for about a week now and the first few days my skin looked clearer (have severe acne face, neck, back). After 2 days my skin is now flakey.I'm on the cream Benzoyl Peroxide and it has done nothing at all. Well the problem is that I am using a soap called Cetaphil and everytime I wash my face with it to get the flakeyness off after about 5 mins the flakeyness comes back. Is this just a side effect for first time users and will the flakeyness go away soon? Plz write any info about my problem if you have any solutions...I'll write back in a month or so to write about updates
Thanx

Hello, I started on this only two days ago, and though I am seeing an improvment in my skin already, I do have that "about to get the flu" feeling. Very interesting. How long do these symptoms persist, in your experience? Thanks!

I've been suffering hormone breakout for 12 moths started Minocin 100mg w/ 1% Differin a week ago. (I'm allergic to 2.5%Benzoyl Peroxide --> burning and redness for a week! I tried 4% Erythromycin and 0.05% Retin A but none of them are working.) Thanks God, up to now, no side effect on me and my skin is less oily and with little breakout only

I started taking Minocycline a week ago today. I'm taking 100mg twice a day in conjunction with Sprinolactone?? (i think that's what it's called)..anyway..so far my chest & back has cleared up quite a bit and i'm surprised at that b/c it's only been a week. My face still has a few small breakouts, but I haven't really had any new ones come up since starting the meds. I'm a little dizzy at times, but if I eat it goes away. I just started feeling a little flu like these last few days (itchy throat & nose) and i'm not sure if that can be contributed to the drug or to the time of year..guess i'll wait to see if that goes away. Other than that - i'm looking forward to seeing more results. I'll write again after i've been on it for longer.

I just started today with this and I sure hope it works. Im only 15 and my face completely flared up over the weekend and Im not used to that at all because I have normally clear skin. I was so upset I didnt even go to school today. I was just wondering how long this stuff takes to work? I need results quick before my confidence and social life go down the drain!!! : )
