Worked VERY well, noticed a difference in ance on the face and back within 2 days; 3 tops. I would say around..... the 15th day of taking it, had a reaction to it (hives) as of right now the hives have lasted two days (yesterday and today) it seems as if they're going to atleast go into three days. Personally I hate that I had a reaction to these because they worked so damn well, but eh, maybe the bacterial infection won't come back right..??? anyway good luck to anyone thats on or is going to take this product.

Ive been taking minocycline for about 4weeks now and so far so good! I must admit that im not the most patient of people and i desperately want instant results. My friends have encouraged me to stick with it though and i feel it will be beneficial. Fingers crossed!

Beware of long term use. Can discolor your gums and skin. Takes about 2 months of being off of it to return to normal

I was prescribed 1x100mg Minocycline as a brand name solodyn few days ago in addition to 0.1 % retin A micro as a topical cream. First three days were fine except for the minor plsticity and itching and burning sensation on my skin. However on the fourth night I developed flu like symptoms with excessive dry skin on my face. The next day I had a slight temperature. I also had a rash(binch of small red hard boils like a bee hive on my right neck/shoulder region spanning a circle of around a couple of inches in diameter) and I immediately reported this to my derm. My derm says that that the rash could be due to some totally independent skin infection. He then says that the flu like symptoms could be due to common cold (I cannot beleive this because I havent fallen sick in two years and this is the first time I experience such a feeling after a long time...cant be coincidence). I decided to take the matter in my own hands and stopped using his prescription since yesterday. I took an antihistamine (benadryl) assuming that I was allergic to minocycline. Right now as I am typing this I feel slightly relieved from the flu like symptoms although I have some cough and cold. My skin started exfoliating today morning and I had to scrape some dead skin off my chin (possible because of retin A). Not sure if I should trust my instinct to discontinue his prescription or persist with it at the expense of my immune system

I was prescribed 2x100mg Minocycline per day plus a topical lotion called Sulfacet. This is my 5th day on the combination and I have noticed a small improvement in my breakouts. I'm experiencing similar side effects to everyone else. I'm very dizzy for most of the day but seem to feel better into the evening. I have experienced mild headaches but can't associate that with the antibiotic as I usually get them. My doctor has suggested that I only take 1 pill at bedtime and see if that helps relieve the dizziness. The lotion is crucial though, helps to dry the surface. I'm getting married in 6 weeks....praying for a miracle.
To those of you who have experienced the dizziness.... any suggestions on coping with it??

I was on Minocyclin for about 2 weeks when I began to break out in hives. My hands and feet swelled up and I was unable to walk around for a few days because of the pain. I went to my regular physician and she had no idea what was wrong but was certain it wasn't the Minocycline. I called the dermotologist and he was certain it was the minocycline, and ordered me off of it, and the hives and swelling went away in a few days. Despite all that, the medication seemed to work in that short period of time... too bad I'm allergic to Minocin!

I have been on minocycline and Differin for about 7 months now. My skin is great! The derm explained that the minocyclin works from the inside (bacteria) and the Differin from the outside (clogged pores). Hopefully everyone taking this drug is also on something for the "outside". I had the headaches and some nausea at first when I was on two pills a day, I then developed a (unrelated) rash and went to the derm. He knocked my dose back to one pill per day with food and I've had no problems since. I like this product but I really encourage you to speak with your doc if you get the headaches, this stuff can really mess you up if you react to it. Good luck!
