| Pros: | After taking it, I got less breakouts. It helped my acne. |
| Cons: | No cons because it works and I got no side effects. |
| Bottom Line: | It worked really well since I got less breakouts. I would get breakouts about every few days but now I don't breakout as often. Also, the sizes of my acne have gotten a lot smaller. |

| Pros: | Cleared up persistent cystic acne for 40+ year old |
| Cons: | I'm not sure |
| Bottom Line: | My acne was getting worse and worse as I got older. I had been through a course of Accutane in my late teens and I think as I neared 40, it just wore off. I had terrible side effects with Accutane and just didn't want to try it again. After three plus years trying strictly topicals (Retin-A, Retin-A Micro, Tazorac, Benzaclin, Duac, Clindamycin gel) I decided to give in and try a daily antibiotic. I cleared up completely within a week. I've been on it for over a year and am still clear.
I believe there are some side effects. I have grown accustomed to more heartburn, and I think I am more easily bruised than I used to be.
But think about the psychological effects of acne. Anyone with severe, lifelong acne can testify that this is not a minor concern.
For me, so far, the trade-off is worth it. |

| Pros: | NONE |
| Cons: | -lots of dizziness, naucea, headaches |
| Bottom Line: | I've been using these pills for almost two months now. I haven't seen a different in my skin at all whatsoever. I have frequent sizzy spells and headaches, minocycline only made them worse with the addition of the naucea I'd get. I even started feeling less hungry. Definetly not worth the money even though I paid with insurance. |

| Pros: | clearing acne as we speak. absolutley no side effects for a month and a half. |
| Cons: | mass breakout on start of month 2 on it. red marks are left! |
| Bottom Line: | buy it if you havent given it a try before. it may or may not work. but nothing usually works for me, and this is looking very promising. i have moderate/severe breakouts, and sometime i have minor/moderate but this stuff has only just kicked in for me and has stopped the daily breakouts im getting, while my skin in trying to heal the old marks and scabs from the breakout i had one month into the meds. i have been on 50 mg twice a day, but have recently just uppped myself to 100mg twice a day to see if this helps. only problem with that is that ive only got 4 rpts left on my script and hopefully the doctor/derm with give me more scripts. |

| Pros: | It treats achne. |
| Cons: | Just for heads up, this product does not work nearly as well for girls. Males are a lot less likely to experience any side effects. |
| Bottom Line: | Give it a try, but be careful, especially for girls. |

| Pros: | I have been A LOT of creams, gels and pills. This has worked wonderful for me. I have adult cystic acne and this seems to work . |
| Cons: | I was nauseated at first but got over it after I started taking it at night before I went to bed. Drank lots of water-it's good for our skin! |
| Bottom Line: | This has worked for me but I also have stopped drinking soda, that seemed to make me breakout worse after I consumed it. The ONLY makeup I use is Bare Essentuals and that works great if you have the $$. |

| Pros: | None in my opinion. |
| Cons: | I've been using this for a little over a month and a half with the Clean and Clear acne kit- no difference whatsoever. It doesn't really help with my blemishes(my main problem). It also made me dizzy and have headaches. |
| Bottom Line: | Try some other pill(or any other treatment) before trying this. I asked my dermatologist about whether it helps with oily skin, and he said that this pill doesn't help at all, so if you have oily skin and want something that'll help with that and acne, minocycline won't help you in that department. Definetly not worth all the headaches and dizzy spells. |

| Pros: | I cleared up almost instantly using this and Benzaclyn. My skin was never so soft! |
| Cons: | It made me sick as a dog and I had to stop! |
| Bottom Line: | Give it a try! It may work for you. I wish I could have tolerated it better. |

| Pros: | None |
| Cons: | Well, i dont think there were cons. My skin became much more oily and therefore my acne got much woese in the time I was on it but I dont think this was related to the drug. |
| Bottom Line: | Doesnt do much if your skin is just too oily. Maybe it will work better if your acne is more of thr inflamitory type. |

| Pros: | my skin has been clear ever since i've been on the pills. |
| Cons: | i don't personally have an cons to report. i've been on minocin for about 12 years and have had none of the side-effects that others report, but everyone reacts different, i guess. |
| Bottom Line: | i've tried everything to get rid of my acne since i was in junior high, finally, when i was in the 10th grade my dermatologist suggested i try minocin. literally within days my skin was clear. as i've gotten older, my doctors have suggested that i get off of it, and of course i'm always willing to try new things...but every time i've been off of it for any length of time my acne comes back almost immediately. i had no choice about a year ago to get off of it completely as i was pregnant - and of course, my acne came right back. after i stopped breast-feeding my son, i started right back on it and of course, my acne disappeared. there are plenty of side-effects that my dermatologist warned me about, but iv'e literally had NO side effects from this medication, not even the minor ones like sensitivity to sun. i suggest to anyone to try it, it's the only thing that has worked for me. |
