Pros:minor improvement over the course of 2 months, only slightly discernible
Cons:Caused a LUPUS-type reaction in one of my daughters and the other was immediately taken off
Bottom Line:This medication caused a verified Lupus-type systemic reaction in one of my daughters-she had a positive ANA. One morning she woke up with noticeably swollen joints and hands. I did some research and found that this is a reaction that is not commonly reported in this country. It is more prevalent in Europe where they have more commonly used this compound for acne treatment.

Be careful if you use this drug for any length of time and be aware of systemic reactions.

Pros:Kills bacteria in your skin, thereby kills acne.
Cons:None.
Bottom Line:If you have complicated acne, use this it works.

Pros:I took it for 2 years. Got rid off my acne. Cleared my face. Worked great!
Cons:One day I started feeling really bad, nausea, sever headache, dizziness, etc. I had to stop taking it.
Bottom Line:It's worth to try it until the side effects get to you :) Not good to take antibiotics for a long period of time.

Pros:Noticed some difference - not significant as of yet. This is my 4th week.
Cons:Serious side effects - extreme nausea, dizzy, my world is spinning, lifeless, exhausted and tingly.
Bottom Line:Cons = NOT WORTH IT!

After starting this only four weeks ago, my own hell started two weeks ago and has affected my ability to function on a daily basis (e.g. sleeping all weekend, taking sick days off work, too tired to see friends, etc).

Since dealing with acne since I was 12 years old and trying many different meds, these side effects are definitely not worth it!

Pros:-Didn't cause anything horrific to happen to me.
Cons:- No change in acne
- Bruising and stomach cramps
- It didn't work it is probably the biggest con, really.
Bottom Line:Not worth it. Admittedly, I've only used it for 4 days, but I had been using doxycycline, which I've been told is the same thing, for 28 days. NO CHANGE AT ALL.
Except these pills give me stomach cramps and bruising (it looks like bruises) on my knee.

Hoorah. I even took this with Retin-A, it does squat.

I guess it's Accutane, here I come (along with the fun iPledge and all that goes with it)...

Pros:completely cleared up my skin
Cons:nothing
Bottom Line:i have been using this for about 8 months now. my skin is completely clear with an occasional little bump every beginning of the month. i'm not sure if it is the winter dryness or if the medication is making my skin dryer than normal. has this happend to anyone else?

Pros:cleared up my acne in about 2 weeks
Cons:none so far
Bottom Line:when i used this product i also was using benzaclin cream as well as cetaphil antibacterial soap. i used to soap to wash my face 3x a day and i would apply the benzalin 2x a day. the soap works great. it clears up all oil and decreases blackheads. i think the reason why my acne is gone is because i used all three products together

Pros:I could see some difference in the amount of pimples i had. Used it for over a month so far.
Cons:Still get breakouts on the sides of my face, and am now trying retin A combined with it.
Bottom Line:It DOES work some, just give it time, and let the old acne scars heal.

- Once you go off it everything comes back worse than ever before.

Pros:Works great, cleared up all my acne
Cons:some side affects are brutal, it can be really hard on the stomach
Bottom Line:recommended product for those who has low self esteem due to acne, or just want to get rid of their acne. Defenitly works, but it can take some time.
