I didn't have good results with this drug and I've been on quite a few, I was on it for about a year and it did nothing but give me yeast infections. I don't recommend it for people with severe acne.

Like many other cases, I broke out into hives by taking Dynacin.

I tried minocyclene for three months about a year ago. I didn't have any real noticable improvement with my moderate acne. The bad part is that it made the oils my skin was excreting very different, in an unpleasant way. My skin seemed to be clammy all the time and it made me rather light headed. Also, I didn't like the way my skin smelled while I was on it. I think we should all be very wary with regards to antibiotics and my expereince with mino just seemed to confirm that...

Used it for 9 months and it worked well, but it gave me an inflamed Liver. Had to go on steroids to sort that out so now my skin is really bad

saw a slight improvement in my skin however my parents looked it up on the internet and found that it is also an antidepressant... something which the doctors should tell you but dont... if you're taking medication this look up 'akamin' on a search engine. minocycline and akamin are the same product.... very scary

Minocycline worked great while I was on it but as soon as I stoped taking it my face became twice as bad. But upside is it started working within a weeks time

This stuff is horrible! I used it for 3 months (just like the Doc said), and I broke out worse; bigger bumps and more painful

Worked pretty well for about a month (95% effective), then effectiveness tailed off (80%)to the point it wasn't worth the money...same thing happend with tetracycline before it

Minocycline worked great for me for about a year and a half. I'm talking no zits. My problem was always the big red painful tumor ones. On Minocycline I didn't get them anymore except maybe one every 3 or 4 months and they would go away fast. BUT, now it stopped working and I'm broken out again and have to change medications. It's good that it works, but it sucks that it's only temporary.
