Minocycline was quite effective, but after a few years my joints were so inflamed I could barely function. I ended up going to several doctors and they had me undergo a liver biopsy because my enzyme levels were high. Turns out that was because I was taking huge amounts of Advil (which I told the doctors) to cope with the pain. Two months after I first started seeing the rheumatologist he told me to stop taking the minocyclne because that might stop the inflamation. Well, it took six months for the minoclycline to get totally out of my system. So please beware; just because your doctor says it's ok doesn't mean it is.

Ive been taking Minocycline for about 6 weeks now, and ive noticed a little bit of change. I find my skin much smoother, and if you have a rashy type of acne, it reduces the redness and swelling quite well, but i havent seen an improvement in my overall situation.

Well it seems to help the inflammed acne (which also keeps away scarring) but doesn't do much for the whiteheads. Also, it does not agree with my stomach very much, so if u think stomach pains are better than acne its good! And its cheap with insurance...

I was very pleased with my results. The only problem is the price without an insurance card. I cannot pay $145 a month for this product.

I get those huge "underground" types of acne about once every 3-4 months. One time they were so infected one on my jaw that I forced myself to the dermotolist in Philly (lived there one time)... I take them twice a day and to me it's a miracle drug. I've been on it now for several years. I reduce my dose in the winter but I still fight with both white/black heads and large pores since I have extremely oily skin (menopause?)... I'm going to try the Regime here and I'll report back and hopefully I can get off the antibiotics... I've had no side affects but I am concerned after reading that it might be an antidepressant and could possible damage your liver...

Worked pretty quickly for me...been on it for a few years, and I've gradually lowered the dose myself to where I hardly take it nowadays. Still get pimples, but it definitely helped out alot.
