| Pros: | I had severe acne, and many severe cystic pimples that would become infected. Within a week of micocycline, (100mg), redness and cysts started to fade away. I was completely amazed at how quickly I got results. |
| Cons: | About 5 months into treatment, I've noticed that I'm starting to break out and my digestion has started to slow down. I was taking vitamins for about a week, one month ago, which gave my acne enough of a break for it to become immune to medicine. |
| Bottom Line: | It's definitely effective and does it's job. I had absolutely no side affects, aside from the digestion from being on an anti-biotic for so long. I'm going to soon stop taking this and hopefully switch to Accutane before my acne completely reverts to where it once was.
I'm going to say a yes on the recommend, because it definitely does work, but this is definitely a short-term treatment and not something to be used long-term. |

| Pros: | I've been taking 100 grams of minocycline twice a day for only a couple of days now, but it definitely seems to be having some effect. It's too early to tell and I know things don't happen overnight, but I'm hopeful. Also using Differin. |
| Cons: | None so far... |
| Bottom Line: | SO FAR SO GOOD!! WILL RETURN POST AGAIN!! |

| Pros: | Subdues acne outbreaks over a course of moths/years, affordable, and doesn't dry out your skin like other harsh acne medications. |
| Cons: | Gives you slight nausea, increases sensitivity to light, and sometimes it just decides to stop working for a few days even after taking it for over a year. |
| Bottom Line: | For a long time, NOTHING seemed to get rid of my acne. I'm 20 yrs old now and have been suffering from back/facial acne for 6 years. I tried so many prescriptions and have visited various dermatologists...all to no avail. Finally, I tried Minocycline(100mg) twice daily, and after about 3 months, my face looked great. However, you do get your occasional breakouts every now and again. And one thing to take into serious consideration is never miss more than 4 doses. I missed a week nce and my skin got very irritated again. So basically it's a love/hate relationship because it's somewhat of a tease. Right when you belive you found a perfect product, your bad skin then decides to fight back. All in all I would keep using it and recommend it to someone who has moderate/severe acne and is close to giving up. |

| Pros: | Cleared my acne. No side effects. Reduced redness and inflammation. |
| Cons: | None |
| Bottom Line: | Amazing drugs!! I gave been using Minocycline for 8 weeks now and it has really cleared my skin. I take one every night.
I'm also using Dermol 500 cream which is great if you have acne but also have dry skin rather then oily. It prevents bacterial growth and really hydrates your skin rather then stripping it which many acne products do. |

| Pros: | clears up your skin after a while. |
| Cons: | YEAST INFECTIONS!!!!! |
| Bottom Line: | It's best to take this on an empty stomache.. Your stomache may get a little upset, but no to much. I recieved so many compliments after a while of using this. Only thing is...you have to wait a while. Change is not really immediate. I took it two years ago, stopped and now I have started again. |

| Pros: | I've been using it for 2 months now. At first my acne started to clear up slowly and I was very hopful. |
| Cons: | Suddenly about 2 weeks ago (no change in diet or cleansing regime) acne started coming back and now just as a zit is about to go away it flares up again! New ones keep coming every few days and they're not going away. |
| Bottom Line: | I have an appointment in 2 weeks to see my dermatologist. I'm going to beg him to put me on Accutane (or the generic brand). I was on Accutane once before and it cleared my skin up and it was beautiful for over 10 years! I didn't experience any of the side effects with Accutane the last time so hopefully I'll tolerate it well again. |

| Pros: | Cleared up acne great on face and body, reduced redness of acne, |
| Cons: | Was clear for about 3 months but then acne came back 100x worse than i've ever had before. |
| Bottom Line: | I took 50 mg twice a day and after about 6 weeks i started seeing results. After 3 months my face was really clear but then it stopped working and now i have SEVERE acne when i only started out with mild acne. I recently stopped minocycline completely and am going on accutane. Be careful with taking this antibiotic. There are some food restrictions and your acne might come back much worse than before! |

| Pros: | It does work, keeps the acne under control. |
| Cons: | Side effects can be horrible! |
| Bottom Line: | I have taken this before, once a day, and it worked for my acne. I started to feel funky, but I was also taking a B vitamin and the funky feeling went away. Didn't think much of it. I ran out of minocycline went back to the doctor and she perscribed me to take it twice a day. After a couple of days this funky feeling came back. It was so hard to explain how I felt. I started doing a little research and went back to the doctor. I had developed depersonalization. Its is almost like the worst feeling in the world. As soon as I stopped taking it...it was gone. So the bottom line is...this does work but pay attention to how you feel on it. |
