I was in Minocycline for 3 months along with Clindamycin gel. I felt Clindamycin didn't work well after 3 weeks and was prescribed 0.025% of Tretinion. Within a month my acne was all cleared up. I had mild - moderate acne for the past 1 year. I would breakout bad right before my periods. Then after 3 months of daily 100mg minocycline I stopped using and only used the cream. 1 month later the acne came back. Now from today I am getting back to Min. It makes my stomack sick... But definately worth taking again for beautifl skin. But Tretinion worked like a magic for the first 3-4 months. Just don't out in the sun. Not even with SPF 30... It burnt me. I have very fair skin and now I am all tan (and not in a good way)...

Not worth the nausea/vomiting for the slight improvement which of course, only lasted as long as I was taking it. Furthermore, do I want to continue taking antibiotics every goddamn day of my life? Hell no! Particularly since I'm exposed to MRSA, VRE, C. diff, etc, etc, all the time due to my career. I need all the antibiotic sensitive flora I can get.

I was on this drug for 6 months. It barely worked in the beginning then my acne got even worse then it was before. No side-effects, but I guess no pain, no gain. I'm starting accutane now and am hopeful. Minocycline is a big waste of time and money.

What are the side affects? I have been on it for a week along with the tazorac cream (.1), and a cetaphil cleanser and my skin has been very dry. My face hasn't cleared up yet but i am hoping

I have taken minocyclin intermittently for the past 8 years (probably 4-5 years total out of 8). It works beautifully; I found that if I used it dilligently for 2 months, I had a flawless complexion. I could even go off of it (for no longer than 1 month), and I never had immunity to it.

I have been on Minocycline for about 6 months for my moderate acne, I only have breakouts on my hairline and upper cheeks nowhere else, It worked wonders for my skin for about 3 months, then I went off of it...bad idea..It was just starting to work and I went off and since going back on I feel like it doesn't work anymore, My skin still has breakouts and alot of redness from scars. If you do go on it..stay on it untill your suppose to come off of it, don't go ff because you see it working!

I noticed some of the side effects when I firss started taking it, like dizziness and queasy stomach, but those went away. In terms of what it has done for me, I have been on it for 2.5 months and have noticed minimal, if any, improvement. I have moderate/severe acne and very sensitive skin and this is definately not the answer

I have been on Minocycline for about 3 months now for mild acne just in the chin area but haven't noticed a difference. In the past week I started getting very dizzy, nauseaus, and very very bad headaches. I stopped taking it yesterday after reading about the side effects. I am waiting to get back to normal.
